My family and friends who couldn't stop talking about how amazing the team and I played today, as well as how thrilled they were that I was finally part of KAU's Knights.

Greeting them warmly goodbyes, making my way to the changing room where I've locked my bag inside one of the lockers that no one was using, on the way, Austin and Benjamin were walking to the exist, "Yo Hawkins, see you tonight, yeah?"

I looked at Austin confused while walking backwards slowly, "What's happening tonight?"

Austin scoff playfully while Benjamin smiled kindly before answering, "The team's going to this bar and grill where we would go most of the time to celebrate. Haven't Captain told you yet?"

Before I could ask further, a warm and cold finger wriggled against my neck, causing me to jolt a little, "There you are, Ariel. You're coming with us for a Victory party tonight, Bacchus' Vine at seven. Me and Ryan will pick you up."

Titling my head slightly to the side, being very curious by the name of the bar and grill, "Someone decided to name a bar and grill after Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and ecstasy?"

Surprised by what I've said before smirking lightly towards me, "You're into Greek mythology, Ariel?"

"I like history, I'm not so deep into Greek mythology. But it's very fascinating to read." All different type of history interest me, when I first learnt some of the amazing things that have happened in the past, I was hooked.

Back home, the History channel would always be watched by me, always learning how wars started and ended, how empires and kingdoms came to power or how they lose it.

Learning about the past can somehow chance the way things are being done today's age, that's what I've always believed.
Slowly nodding his head, still wearing the small smirk and his eyes becoming brighter, "So, me and Ryan will pick you up at six fifty, yeah?"

Nodding my head, walking around him, but when I was beside him, his hand lightly grabbed mined to gently squeeze it, "You deserve this, today you played incredibly."

I could have done better in first half. I kept that thought to myself while returning the squeeze back to David before continue walking to the changing room.
Unlocking the lock which I bought after practice, not feeling completely safe showering in the building, so I just change my cleats for black Nike shoes.

Putting the lock in my bag before heading out of the room and would have left the hallway, if Riley hadn't called out to me, "Hawkins!"

Guess that's my nickname in the team, then. Sighing deeply before turning to him with the biggest smile that could actually break my face in half, "Yes Riley?"

He stood at least three meters away from me before crossing his arms, "You put on quite a show in second half today."

I was already getting tried by what he'd said, always wanting to get under my skin which he did successfully today when we were playing in first half. My body was begging me to turn around and just go take a shower, the sweats cling to my skin and clothes felt like wet, disgusting glue.

But instead of listening to my body, I decided to stay, to sort out Riley's misunderstanding, "My nerves got the best of me in first half, but I wasn't putting on any show."

"Yeah, you were." Riley snorted, having that same expression he had on the last time we spoke in this hallway. Using the same tone and pitch, making me feel like it's Thursday all over again. "It wasn't your nerves that got the best of you, you were acting on the field, you messed up passes, only creating chances and assists for others to score, because it was all part of your plan of fooling everyone. Before second half came and you just stole the spotlight from the team all for yourself."
