The last week of June flew by faster than I expected. Almost throwing everyone into the first week of July, which, of course, leads to the 4th of July.
Which are two days from today, and tonight was a night that I don't think I'll ever forget.

Walking through a fairly lit tunnel, yet I found it to be too dark. Walking through and stepping onto a field that I've never thought that I'll ever step onto. Automatically, my eyes wander around me, taking every single detail of this stadium just as I'd done when I walked through the building with my crew. It's bigger than I thought.

The chairs were painted in the usual colors, gold, black and white. In the front section of the stadium, right under the VIP booth, the chairs were forming one name, Golden Angels.

Mid-June, Swag Crew was asked to perform at half-time to celebrate the 4th of July. Golden Angels were having a match against the Houston Bulldogs before taking a break for the holiday.

Usually, a gig like this would get me to become like a kid in an amusement park. Especially since it's our first half-time show that we've ever done before. Plus, this was a big gig that David was taking part in with the crew for the very first time.

But now, I kinda felt weird. There were feelings of nervousness, worry, and anxiety. Then I was feeling like this bouncing ball that doesn't want to stop and stand still. Like, it was crazy how all of my emotions were on this up-and-down rating. I couldn't describe how I was feeling to myself in some state.

Even when the crew and I were practicing our routine with our bandanas covering half of our faces. Some players who were warming up at one side of the field would stop for a second to watch us. Even though I knew that most of my face was covered, I felt like they could see my whole face.

Thankfully, our practice wasn't too long. We just had to do a sound and light check. Steve gave us the freedom to walk around the stadium as long as we all stayed within the building. Most of the crew went out, taking pictures, some of them I was forced into, especially when the club's photographer asked for a group picture.

I was making my way back to the tunnel. Not feeling as excited as everyone else was. This is unlike me since I'm a soccer player who's walking on the top female soccer club in the whole of Los Angeles. These mixed emotions are making me the opposite side of myself and I don't like it.

While I was close to stepping off the field, someone screamed far away from me, "WATCH OUT!!"

Turning around to spot this black-and-white movement flying toward me at top speed. Taking three steps back before I chest the ball, then put it under control. Flicking it up in the air, then caught it, "Hey, sorry about that."

"Nah, don't sweat about - WHOA!!" I became shell-shocked when two of the Angels' stood in front of me dressed in their warm-up kit. These two ladies are the best of the best that the club has ever had. "You're Violet Spencer and Ruby Bull. Angels' top striker and center defender."

I can remember their first match for the club and how their careers skyrocketed ever since that day. For that game, their team's backline became like the Great Wall of China, and Violet scored about five goals and made at least twelve assists.
They both are practically the team's personal Messi and Thiago Silva.

They both had surprised and amused expressions before Ruby said, "You can control a high ball and know your soccer. That's pretty cool for Swag Crew's 'golden star'."

My cheeks became like two fireballs at her comment. Smiling widely, even though I knew that she couldn't see it, "Thank you, I come from a household that loves soccer."
