I've been sitting in my home's kitchen since 3am, my dark blue mug was ice cold between my hands along with the black coffee inside. I couldn't sleep much after the day that my family and I had before.
After we left the apartment building, Rose and Kayla went with Rebecca to get some old clothes that they could wear and promised to buy new ones later after church.

When we got to Dad's house, I went to the addict to rebuilt my old white baby cot with Andy's help while Johnathan stayed close to Rosebella's side which I was happy for.
Despite the countless, infuriating times that Gold digging snake kept on calling him. Wanting to know what he's doing every bloody thirty seconds of an hour.

After setting the cot up in the guestroom which Rose asked to sleep in, stopping Johnathan's hidden desire to have her and Kayla sharing the same room with him.

Before I went to bed, he walked out of the guest room for the eighth time since Rose and Kayla had fallen asleep. Always checking in on them both, making sure that they're both ok.
Then he spent nearly two hours in the living room, researching offers on houses and apartments that's close to our home and his business.

He had written down a couple of addresses for houses more than apartment buildings, probably doesn't think they're safe to raise a baby anymore. Double checking for easy routes between campus and houses from his lists, I've looked them up and they're not really bad choices to be honest.

David: "Good morning, Anela." (Hug emoji)

Seeing the message caused me to smile for the first time since I woke up. After seeing the damages in Rose's apartment, I've told everyone that I was going to stay at home over night, not wanting to leave Rose and Kayla's side.

They understood and made me promise to call whenever I or my family needed anything and gave me the biggest and warmest group hug that they've ever given.

David has been checking up on me since I drove with Rose's car home. I've let him drive Charlie, Daytona back to campus with everyone else. Last night before I took a shower, he called me and asked if I needed a moment to have a 'good cry'.

Still don't really understand why he would ask that, I just told him that I don't need it before we said goodnight. In one way or another, it was nice having to him around to keep my mind away from what had happened.

Me: "Good morning, David."

David: "Do you want to cry now?"

Me: "Nope, I'm as dry as a desert."

David: "Would you like a hug?"

Me: "I'll let you know."

Looking down at my mug, I stood up and threw the sad dark liquid down the sink before boiling more water to make another cup which I'll hopefully drink this time.
After cleaning and drying my cup, I threw in the coffee and sugar before I heard Johnathan yawn behind me, "Hey, how long have you been up?"

Glancing over my shoulder before shaking my head, "Not long. How's you sleep?"

Giving me a shallow nod, Johnathan said with a hollow voice and a weak smile, "I slept ok. Rose's getting Kayla and herself ready to go to church with Rebecca."

"She knows that she doesn't have to go if she doesn't want to, right?" I asked before pouring hot water into his and Rose's mugs as well as mine. Johnathan started making coffee and tea which I'm assuming is for Rose, she doesn't like coffee as much as my brother does. "What happened yesterday. . . was a lot to take in. She needs some time to process everything on her own with some help of course."

An unsteady and deep sigh escaped my brother's mouth as he slightly dropped his head, there was a moment where he looked like the whole world rested upon his shoulders.
