"There you go, cuz," Hailey excluded excitedly after finishing up the boxtwist braids that I've asked for. Sitting on her penthouse's couch with the little coffee table filled with our hair products.

We both gave our hair a good treatment after spending most of the day in the sun and water. Being the African American girls we are, always being proud and protective with our hair. We always take it very seriously, and taking care of it is our sole priority, no matter what.

Anyways, after our day at the beach, most of my friends went back to campus, David and Charlotte went their home since their cousins were visiting. Junaid went back to his apartment to get ready for this art gallery show that he was invited to. And Taylen went straight home, said that his Dad wanted him back at the tattoo shop.

Cameron and I tried speaking to him before he left, but he wasn't in the mood to talk. Understanding why, I made him promise me that he'll let me know when he's home and that we'll sometime soon. Which he promised and had done.

Haily, Cameron and I went to her penthouse after I grabbed a bag of clothes and most of my hair products. Whenever my cousin is back in LA, we would have sleepovers at her place.
One night of letting myself be girly painting nails, wearing makeup, and having our own fashion show with some of the clothes that she would get for free from shoots. Watching movies or series while eating lots of junk food and Cameron's yummy snacks that he would make for us.

Switching places on the couch so that I could get started with Haylie's hair. Brushing her beautiful curls out while applying some moisturizer, "What a great day!!"

She sounded happy and cheerful, thankfully not noticing or picking up any bad vibes from a certain someone. That was the one thing that both Cameron and I were worried about. "Spending the day at the beach with Taylen, Junaid, and everyone else was so great. It was so good to see them. It's been nearly ages since we hung out like that."

"Yeah, it's been a long time. Glad that we could have this day with everyone together." I agreed with her while creating a path through her hair. Softly running the comb through while hearing her say, "And seeing how Junaid and Daytona flirting with each other. Having so much fun with one another and enjoying the other's company, they make such a cute item."

I'm happy to hear that there's no jealousy or hard feelings seeing her ex-boyfriend being happy. She seemed more excited about the idea of Junaid and Daytona being together than anyone else.

Placing a tray filled with tortilla chips, dips, and his famous mini pizza bites, Cameron said, "Though that one guy didn't seem to like seeing them like that. Does he have a crush on her, or are they part of some kind of situationship?"

Now, that would have been something if it were true. But I shook my head while trying not to laugh, "Nah, those two are thick as thieves and see one another more like friends than each other's love interest. I think Frankie's just being a bit protective over Daytona and the guys she goes out with."

Shrugging her shoulders, Haylie said, "I don't know. Things can always change. Maybe Frankie realizes that he's starting to have deeper feelings for Daytona after seeing her with Junaid."

"No ways," I said, slightly seeing that idea being a possibility. But at the same time, I know both of the two well enough. "They're see each other as brother and sister. Whenever people even comment that they almost look like a couple, they both gag and agree that they will never fall for one another."

Then Cameron snickers cheekily before saying, "Maybe they should become more like you and David."

Raising my eyebrow at him while he had that look, which only means trouble. Haylie turned, looking confused at me before turning to Cameron, "Yeah, you should have seen your cousin and her friend on the beach earlier. Them cuddling, teasing each other, moaning."
