I've got you babe - Jennifer and Justin (Justifer)

34 weeks pregnant

Since Jen's fall Justin has been more protective than ever before. He's been her absolute rock and truthfully, she's been thankful that he's stayed home with her.

It was Saturday afternoon and they were curled up on the couch watching tv when Justin's phone rang.

"Hey John, you alright?" Jen's head turned, hearing who he's talking too.

"Oh yeah, no worries. Yeah sure, I'll be over shortly" he finishes the call.

"Is everything okay?" she lifts herself up off his chest and asks with concern.

"That was your dad. He can't get his computer to connect or print or something like that" he laughs slightly.

She laughs too, knowing how useless her dad is with technology.

"I said I'd go take a look at it for him. You coming?"

Jen smiles, proud of her partner and the way he takes care of her family. She hugs him tight and kisses his cheek.

"What was that for?" Justin asks confused at her sudden giddiness.

"You're amazing. You look after all of us" she smiles.

"Someone's gotta do it" he smirks, helping her up off the couch.

They arrived at John and Sherry's house. Justin was upstairs helping John with the computer whilst Jen was with Sherry in the kitchen, eating a salad. They were talking about the baby.

"It won't be long now sweetie" Sherry says.

"I know. It's coming around so quick, I can't believe it"

"I'm over the moon for you both you know. You've got yourself a wonderful man there, and the pair of you together will be the best parents" Jen's eyes glisten at her step mothers honesty.

"Thank you so much Sherry. I'm so lucky to have Justin by my side."

"He loves you and I have no doubt he'll be a wonderful father" they smile sweetly.

Meanwhile upstairs,

"Thanks a lot Justin. I kept trying to get it to work but it just ended up in an argument between me and Sherry so I thought I'd call for backup" John mentions after Justin solved the issue with his computer.

"Anytime man" Justin laughs knowing that Jen would react the same as Sherry.

"Actually, I was going to pop by soon anyway. There's something I've been meaning to run past you" Justin says as they sit back, finishing up on the computer. 

John turns to give Justin his full attention.

"Oh right, what's that then?" John asks confused.

Justin takes a deep breath and responds "I want your permission to ask Jen to marry me. I know we haven't been together long and we're already having a baby but I swear to you I love your daughter more than anyone in the world. I'm not doing this just because we're having a baby, I'm doing it because.."

"I've been waiting for the day Justin" John interrupts him.

Justin looks at him surprised.

"You don't need to explain yourself. I know, Sherry knows, everyone knows and can see how much you adore Jen. We can see it in your face when you're watching her from a distance and how you're eyes light up when she's mentioned. You're both made for each other and it would be my absolute honour to have you as my son in law. You've done nothing but respect Jen, her family, her friends, her crazy life. I've just been waiting for you to ask"

Justin looks down smiling and in shock.

"Thanks so much John. You have no idea what this means too me."

"Welcome to the family son" John smiles proudly at Justin and pats him on the back.

After a little more small talk, John pipes up

"So when you planning on asking her?"

"I had this whole idea of taking her to our favourite restaurant or maybe even Cabo but to be honest I stopped planning it before I'd asked you, so I'm still working on it" He replies honestly.

"Whenever and whatever you decide, it will be great. Jen will be thrilled. She's always telling us how happy you make her."

"She's everything I've been waiting for my whole life. I promise you, her and our daughter are my biggest priority. All I aim to do is to keep them safe and happy."

"And that you will" John smiles, grateful for the man his daughter will marry.

Shortly after, John and Justin greet the ladies in the kitchen. Justin walks over to Jen and puts his arm around her.

"Been stealing Sherry's food have you?" he jokes, noticing the empty plates.

"You're daughter made me do it" they all laugh.

"You ready to go then?" she asks.

"Yeah, all sorted. Everything's great" Justin smiles at John and John winks in return.

"Thanks again Justin. You take care Jenny" they walk towards the door, saying their goodbyes.

"See you later daddy" Jen hugs and kisses John.

"Bye sweetheart. Let me know if you need anything."

"Bye Jennifer. See you later Justin" Sherry adds.

"Bye guys!" Jen and Justin leave for the car and head home.

Later in the evening, Justin had cooked dinner for Jen whilst she took a bath.

"This looks lovely honey" she says as she walks in.

"5 minutes and it'll be done" Justin walks up, wrapping his arms around her from behind. He rests his head on her shoulder.

"My dad text me saying I've got a wonderful man" she tilts her head slightly, kissing his cheek.

"Did he now?" he grins.

"Yeah.. he's right too. When I watched you walk off with my dad earlier, I couldn't stop staring. The way you look after all of us is heart warming. I'm so lucky to have you" she turns and hugs him as well as she can with her bump.

"I'm lucky to have you all too babe. I'm honoured to be a part of your family" he kisses her.

"Do you want me to help with dinner?" she asks.

"No, you go sit at the table and I'll bring it out" he kisses her again as she walks off.

"I love you so much, Mr handsome, triple threat, Theroux" she grins, shouting from the table.

He laughs to himself, knowing he would show her later how much she means to him.
