Justin had been on night shoots for the last week of filming The Leftovers.

Their parents had been helping out as much as they could with Rosie.

On the phone late one evening:

"I've got a meeting with the producers for The Morning Show tomorrow honey, do you think you'll be able to take Rosie to my dads for me? I've told them you'll drop her off after a few hours sleep."

"Yeah that's fine Jen. If I didn't have filming again on the night, we could have had a nice afternoon together."

"I know honey. Not long now and we can have a break."

"Can't wait. How is my little angel anyway?"

"She had her bath and was asleep pretty much right away so no doubt she'll keep me up all night again."

"I'm sorry I'm not there babe."

"No.. don't feel guilty honey, you have to work."

"I'm on set in 10 minutes, I best get going. Make sure you go to bed now and try to get a few hours before she's up again and I'll see you in the morning."

"I hope it all goes well tonight. Give my love to everyone. See you later honey, love you."

"Love you gorgeous."

The next morning Jen was getting to leave for her meeting when Justin returned home from his night shoot.

"Hey honey, how did it go?" she asks, walking over to greet him.

"It was great. The fire scenes are all done. It took a bit longer than expected but it looks brilliant. Did you get a good nights sleep?" they release from a hug.

"Oh that's good, I can't wait to see it. Erm not the best, she was crying at 2am, I fed her again at 4am and she was up again at 5.30am. That girl really doesn't like sleep" She says whilst walking around putting stuff in Rosie's changing bag.

"Hopefully when she's a bit older, she'll start to settle more. She never gives up."

Jen walks back over to Justin who's making a coffee.

"I've got to go honey. Everything is ready in her bag. She should sleep for a few hours now so you should be able to get a bit of sleep."

"Yeah, I'll have a quick nap then take her to your dads before I'm back on set again."

"Make sure you get some rest Justin."

"I will. You need to go or you'll be late" He kisses her sweetly.

"See you later" She returns the kiss and leaves as Justin heads to bed.

11am Justin's phone rings.

"Hey man, what's up?" he answers to Adam Sandler.

"Hey bro. I'm sorry.. I know you've had some late nights and you're busy filming but are you able to make a quick meeting about the script. We want to finalise a few more things today with the executives so we can start filming" Adam asks.

"Oh that sounds great. We'll be able to start earlier than we planned. Erm, yeah sure, that's no problem. I've got to drop Rosie at her grandparents but I could be there by 12?"

"Thanks bro. I'll catch you later."

Justin quickly got himself and Rosie ready and arrived at Sherry and Johns.

"Thanks so much for having her, I'm sorry it's earlier than we planned" He says.

"Nonsense, we love looking after her" Sherry answers.

"You be a good girl for grandma Sherry" he kisses Rosie and hands her over. "I'll ring you when I've finished and pick her up."

"That's fine. See you later Justin" Sherry waves him off.

It was 4pm and Justin still hadn't fetched Rosie. Sherry and John were going out this evening so she rang Jen to come and pick her up. Jen was not happy that Justin had not been in touch with either of them.

"Jen, don't worry. We love having Rosie here. He's probably lost track of time. We'd have had her all night if we weren't going out later"

"I don't want you to think we're taking advantage. He should have rang you to let you know he wasn't coming. I can't believe he hasn't let me know. Rosie could be anywhere for all he knows" Jen begins raising her voice.

"Jenny calm down, it's fine. These things happen. Go easy on him, he's had a busy few weeks too" John tries to soften her.

Justin arrived home 6pm.

"Hey babe, how was your meeting?" he walks into the kitchen, noticing Jen cleaning away plates.

"Your dinners in the pan, I didn't know when you would be back" she ignores him, finishing the cleaning.

Noticing her tone and body language, he knew she was upset.

"I'm sorry I'm so late. Adam rang me about a meeting and we got talking with the bosses at Warner. I never realised the time" He walks over to her trying to explain but Jen interrupts.

"You could have rang me and asked me to fetch Rosie. It wouldn't have been an issue. Instead I had Sherry asking me when you were home. I didn't even know where you were" her temper was rising.

"Jen I'm sorry" he tries to put his arms around her but she pushes him away.

"No, don't come that. You forgot to collect your daughter. You forgot to ring or even text your fiancé. You forgot to ring Sherry. That's not acceptable Justin. How irresponsible does that make us look" She stands back, furious.

"Sherry loves having her, I'm sure she didn't mind" he tries to justify it.

"That's not the point. They're going out tonight. If I hadn't collected her, they would have had to cancel"

"I wouldn't have forgot our daughter Jen. I lost track of time, that's all" He starts raising his voice to match hers.

"I didn't even know where you were Justin. You should have called me. I'd have understood but the fact you couldn't do that.. you're obviously too fucking wrapped up in your work to care about us" she regrets the last sentence as soon as she says it.

"That's not fair. That's really out of order Jen. You know that's not true. It was one simple mistake. No one got hurt" He shouts.

Their argument was getting more heated, both of them standing across from each other in the kitchen, raising their voices.

"You're tired. You're upset.. I get it. But you're definitely overreacting"

"Don't you dare. I'm here taking care of our daughter all day every day. I'm up all night feeding her. I walk Dolly. I clean the house. I cook your dinner. I do every fucking thing for us and the one time I get to have a break and go to work, you couldn't do one simple thing. All you had to do was pick her up"

"I was working too Jen, it's not like I was with another woman."

Her face froze at that comment. She never expected him to get that low. It fuelled her anger more.

Rosie started crying from her swing in the living room.

"Fuck off Justin. I don't want you near us."

Jen turned to get Rosie.

Justin instantly regrets it. He knew Jen was tired and upset but his anger got the better of him. He's better than that, he never loses his temper, especially with Jen. He felt awful. Why didn't he just brush it off and apologise instead of making a bigger deal out of a simple mistake.

He follows Jen. She's rocking Rosie quietly by the window, over looking the garden.

"Jen.. I'm so sorry" he approaches her and notices she's crying, avoiding his eyes. He tries to turn her for a hug but she moves away.

"Just go to work and leave us alone."

He waits for a moment but she still doesn't turn around so he leaves.
