A month later

Justin had a day of interviews promoting a new project he is directing.

He awoke to the sound of Noah crying from down the hall. He turned to see that Jen wasn't in bed and went to console Noah.

"Sorry, I tried to calm him down. I didn't want to wake you" Jen looked over at Justin as he entered Noah's room.

"It's fine. What's wrong with him?" he walked over, stroking Noah's back who was still wailing in Jen's arms.

"I think he's teething again. His gums are all puffy"

"Aww buddy, have you got a poorly mouth?!" Justin lifted him from Jen's arms and swayed with him slowly.

"He was up at 2 so I lay with him for a bit then he woke again at 5"

"You should have said. I'd have swapped with you" Justin gave Jen an apologetic look.

"It's okay honey, you've got a busy day today" she stroked his back sympathetically.

"Mama" Noah cried, reaching out for Jen.

She took him and cradled him closely as his cries calmed down.

"Mommy!" Rosie shouted from her room.

Jen sighed to Justin and he understood how exhausted she was. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close.

"I'll go" he kissed her head and she smiled faintly, thanking him.

"Mommy.. Dolly keeps getting this" Rosie waddled into the living room with Dolly following.

"That's cause she thinks it's her teddy. Why don't you give her one of her toys and she'll leave you alone" Jen tried to reason.

Rosie threw another toy for Dolly and sat on the couch with her teddy "This mine Dolly not yours."

"Hey!" Sherry entered the room.

"Hey"

"Grandma" Rosie bounced excitedly.

"Hi sweetheart" she joined her granddaughter on the couch.

"Thanks for coming" Jen smiled, grateful for an extra pair of hands.

"What times Justin back?" Sherry asked, noting Jen's flustered state.

"Not till tonight. Normally we'd be fine but Noah won't let me leave him for longer than 5 minutes" Jen motioned to her son, sleeping in her arms.

"Definitely a mama's boy" Sherry teased.

"Tell me about it" Jen laughed. "He was up during the night then 6 this morning he wouldn't drop back off. He's so clingy when he's not feeling great"

"Poor boy" Sherry motioned to take him from Jen. "Go and do what you need to do, I'll hold the fort with this one"

"Thank you" Jen smiled. "Right come on missy, let's get you in the bath" she reached for Rosie's hand and led her upstairs.

"I want to draw mommy" Rosie whined out as she was getting undressed.

"You can later sweetie, I need to get you clean first"

"Will you paint a picture?" Jen smiled and her daughters sweet question.

"Of course I will honey. We'll paint together"

"Yay" Rosie excitedly replied, happy to have her mother's attention.

Meanwhile, Justin had been in numerous interviews all day. He was getting fed up with all the questions about Jen and his family. He had expected it since they had hardly been papped since Noah but he was beginning to get annoyed that the interviewers were asking more of that than his project.
