I've got you babe - Jennifer and Justin (Justifer)

I feel awful

22 weeks pregnant

Jen was still suffering with cramps every so often. Her bleeding had eased off but the last few days became heavy again. After a check up with the midwife she had been reassured everything was okay, she just had to continue resting. Justin had been even more protective than ever before. The thought of them losing their baby terrified them both so he was doing all he could to keep them safe. Jen was reluctant at first and thought he was being over the top but deep down she was thankful and understood his actions.

Rosie had been at her grandparents for the morning so Jen could have a bit of alone time.

Phyllis walked into the living room following Rosie.

"Hi mommy!" Rosie jumped on the couch hugging Jen.

"Hi baby. Look at you, you've got chocolate all over your face you mucky pup" she squeezed her cheeks and kissed her.

"Yeah sorry about that.. we tried to clean her up in the car but she was too eager to see you" Phyllis sat on the couch opposite.

"Did you eat all of  grandmas chocolate?" Jen teased tickling Rosie.

"Nooo mommy" she wriggled in Jens arms before escaping and playing with her toys.

"How're you feeling?" Phyllis asked "Sorry I know you're fed up of being asked" they chuckled.

Jen readjusted herself slightly and stroked her bump.

"No.. I'm okay. Some days are easier than others. As if being pregnant isn't hard enough.. I can't even do the simplest tasks" she groaned.

"I know" Phyllis felt guilty for her.

"Thanks for dropping her home.. I'd have drove but Justin's not letting me do anything"

"He's only looking out for you darling. He's worried about you both"

Jen smiled softly "I know.. he's been wonderful. I see the worry in his eyes every day and it breaks my heart. He's working so hard then coming home to us and working even harder"

"Make the most of it cause when this baby's here, neither of you will have time for anything...especially with madam over there" they looked to Rosie playing with Dolly and her toys.

"I know yeah, I keep reminding myself of that. It was hard enough with one let alone two"

"You'll be okay though. You're both ready and you've got each other"

Jen smiled "yeah.. we'll be fine"

Phyllis looked as Rosie started hopping around the room "she never stops.. she reminds me of Justin when he was young. He was so hyperactive"

They laughed.

"I notice more of him in her every day. She was sitting with him in the office the other day and they could have been the same person"

"Does she ask about the baby?"

"Sometimes" they smiled sweetly "I'm sure she understands something's different with me. She's so clingy lately. She always wants to cuddle me and stroke my bump"

"She's so caring. She's always helping her cousins and so affectionate with them"

"I know.. she's one of a kind" she smiled proudly.

Later in the afternoon Phyllis had left and Justin arrived home.

"Hi honey" Jen greeted him in the kitchen.

"Hey gorgeous" he kissed her, wrapping his arms around her and stroking her bump.

"How was your day?"
