34 weeks pregnant

Rosie's asthma had caused Jen to become very protective over her. Any cough or activity she did, she watched her intensely. Rosie had also seemed to be slightly effected by the event and always wanted Jen to be with her.

Jen herself was becoming more uncomfortable every day with her pregnancy.

"I'm so thankful and lucky to be pregnant but my god, I can't wait for this baby to be out. I'm so uncomfortable. I never felt this bad with Rosie but this whole pregnancy has been a challenge. I'll never take Rosie's pregnancy for granted" Jen spoke with Andrea as they sat in the garden.

"Yeah you haven't had an easy ride this time around. How's Justin feeling about it all?"

"I think he's just as fed up as me. He feels like he's walking on egg shells around me. I'm trying to be less agitated but..-"

"You're hormonal and the size of a house Jen.. I think he understands" they giggled.

"I just want to meet them now and start to feel a bit more normal" she said whilst rubbing her bump.

"You won't sleep for the next year at least.. I'd make the most of it if I was you" Andrea joked.

"I know.. it would be easier if Rosie wasn't in our bed at the moment but she won't fall asleep alone lately" Jen looked across the garden at the kids playing. Rosie was sat cutely on the swing.

"That'll pass soon. She just wants to feel protected by you, especially since she knows there's going to be a baby" Andrea reassured her.

"Yeah... she broke me the other day.. I was catching my breath after walking up the stairs and she rubbed my back and told me I could rest" Jen smiled proudly.

"She's adorable" they smiled.

"That's another thing.. she's not running around or bouncing like she normally would" Jen spoke quietly watching Rosie walk over to them.

"She's probably still scared she'll end up in hospital again. She'll wake up one day and just forget about it. Kids are funny like that"

"I hope so"

"Hi sweetie" Jen stroked Rosie's hair as she stood in between her legs.

"Mommy can I have a swing?" she asked cutely.

"You'll have to ask daddy honey"

"Baby can have one too mommy.. we can play together"

Jen laughed and her and Andrea smiled at the innocent look she was giving.

"I'll think about it sweetie" she kissed her head and Rosie went back to play with the others.

"Sly move.. the girls good" Andrea teased.

"I know.. anything she asks for lately she uses the baby as an excuse" Jen laughed.

"You and Justin are screwed with those puppy dog eyes"

"Oh tell me about it."

As Jen got up to leave she froze, holding her back and bump.

"You okay?" Andrea rubbed her back.

"Yeah.. I think I was sat for too long" Jen caught her breath.

"Mommy" Rosie questioned, watching the scene.

"I'm okay baby" she smiled weakly to Rosie.

"Do you want me to drive you?" Andrea asked.

Jen considered it for a minute "Would you mind?"
