Mommy Cuddles

Jen and Justin had both been busy filming over the last few months.

In a few weeks time Justin is due to fly to Berlin to shoot.

Today they were hosting a bbq with their friends. No particular reason but they wanted to get everyone together for a fun time.

"Hey guys" Jason greeted them in the kitchen.

"Hey man" Justin turned to face him.

"Hi honey" Jen spoke as she lifted Rosie up onto the counter.

"Hi girls. Are you going to play with Rosie?" She asked Maple and Fran as they ran to her for a hug.

"We bought our dolls to share" Maple waved a doll up to Rosie who was eating facing Jen.

"That's very sweet girls.. look baby, look what Maple has" she motioned to the dolls and Rosie threw her arms and bounced in excitement.

Jen lifted her down and the girls crouched around and they wandered off into the next room.

"Be careful girls, watch her closely" Jason shouted.

"Where's Amanda?" Jen asked.

"She's still out but she'll be here later" Jason answered.

"Hey.. there you are" Court walked up behind Jen, sitting on the decking.

"I was being attacked by the girls but they left to annoy Drea instead" she laughed, as Court sat next to her.

"So any news on the baby front?"

Jen paused for a moment "No. We've spoke openly about it many times. If it happens it does but we won't be disheartened if it doesn't. We've got our hands-full with her and work at the minute anyway" Jen answered honestly.

"Yeah I know what you mean. That's how I felt after Coco" they smiled at each other, both understanding exactly how lucky they felt.

Court rubbed her leg "You'll be okay without him you know."

Jen looked from Justin at the bbq, back to Court "yeah.. it'll be strange without him here but we've got all you guys. I think Justin's more upset about leaving us to be honest"

They'd spoke a lot about Justin leaving for 3 weeks to film. Jen reassured him they would be okay and he needed to finish his film. After a lot of persuasion, he finally agreed.

"It'll be good for you and Rosie to have some time to yourselves and when he comes home it'll be even more special"

Jen smiled, thanking her, knowing that Court had been there and understood how she was feeling.

"Mommy" Rosie came running up to Jen crying.

"What's up baby?" she engulfed her in her arms, holding her tight to her chest stroking her head as Rosie nuzzled in her neck.

"She tripped on the concrete. I tried to pick her up but she ran off crying" Fran ran up behind informing Jen.

"That's okay honey.. thank you" Jen said sweetly. She pulled Rosie back slightly and noticed a small cut on her leg.

"Owweee mommy" Rosie cried out lifting her leg.

"You're okay baby. Mommy's got you. Let's get you cleaned up" she carried her into the kitchen.

"What's the matter princess?" Justin asked as they walked in.

"She fell over playing with the girls" Jen told him as she sat on the stool, holding Rosie in her lap.

"You're okay. You're a brave girl aren't you sweetie" Justin said crouching to her level, rubbing her back as Jen cleaned the graze on her leg.

"There you go, all better" Jen rubbed her hand over the plaster and kissed it better "Do you want to go and play?" she asked but Rosie buried her head onto Jen's chest and sucked her thumb.

"You stay with mommy then" she said cutely, squeezing her tighter, always happy to give her daughter some extra cuddles.

Justin smiled at them both. He loved watching his girls together. He stroked Jen's shoulder and kissed her before heading to join the boys.

"Aw, what's up darling?" Kristin asked as she joined Jen in the kitchen.

"She cut her leg so she's having mommy cuddles aren't you honey" she smiled at them both as Rosie nodded slightly, clutching her teddy in one hand and Jen in the other.

"Aww sweetie." Kristin sat next to them "It's been good to see everyone again. I feel like we've all been so busy lately"

"I know. That's why we wanted to get everyone together"

"Any excuse for a gathering and I'm here" they laughed.

"Foods ready babe" Justin shouted through.

"Okay honey. We're coming" Jen lifted Rosie up to her side and they left to eat.

Everyone was gathered around the large table in the garden as food was served.

"Is she okay now?" Justin asked as Jen sat next to him.

"You're all better now aren't you baby" Rosie bounced on her lap as she reached out for food.

"It looks like it" Justin laughed "She just wanted to sit with you" he said sweetly.

"Before we start.. can I just saw a few words" Justin stood up to speak. Jen looked up at him surprised.

"Don't worry it's not some big announcement" they all laughed "I just want to take a minute to recognise this woman here" he put his hand on Jen's shoulder and smiled sweetly.

"She doesn't get half the thanks she deserves. The last few months have been a bit mayhem for us and this amazing woman here has shown just how incredible and devoted she is. She's looked after me and Rosie whilst still working and everything in between. And not once has she complained" he looked down at her swaying gently with Rosie. He could see the tears in her eyes.

He lifted her up and wrapped his arm around his girls "We're so lucky to have you. You're unbelievable babe and I can't wait to marry you...To Jen" everyone watched on in awe of this beautiful family and the love they share. They cheered and raised a glass.

Jen leant in and kissed him sweetly "I love you honey."
