30 weeks pregnant

Jen and Justin had been taking things easy recently. Jen's bump was huge this time around which made her unable to do much and Justin had finished the projects he'd been working on meaning they could enjoy the nesting stage together.

"It's not going to be this quiet for a long time" Justin said as he'd just got home from dropping Rosie at her grandparents.

"I know" Jen greeted him in the kitchen. "It's so strange. I can't even remember what it was like before we had Rosie"

"Me neither.. it seems so long ago" he wrapped his arms around her.

"My love for you has never changed though.. if anything I'm more in love with you now" Jen smiled.

"Ditto babe" he kissed her sweetly. "Have you decided where you want the crib?"

"Yeah.. I just need you to move a few more of her toy boxes for me"

They'd decided on having Rosie's room as the nursery. A lot of her baby furniture was still in there so it made sense. Rosie was moving into a slightly bigger spare room, which they'd just finished decorating.

Justin helped Jen waddle up the stairs.

"It'll be nice to walk up stairs without getting out of breath" she joked, clutching her bump as they reached the top.

He rubbed her back lovingly and guided her to Rosie's new bedroom.

"Oh wow. She's going to love it. This looks incredible honey"

She walked around the room admiring the art work Justin had done on the walls. Rosie had insisted on a pink princess theme room. Her bed had tall sides made to look like a castle and Justin had painted the inside of a fairytale castle on the walls.

"A castle for my princess" he said proudly. Jen smiled.. he was obsessed with their daughter.

"I can't believe she's old enough for a bed like this and has all these grown up things" Jen said her eyes filling with tears.

"I know.. she's aged 10 years in the space of 6 months" he hugged her from behind, stroking her belly.

"She's definitely matured.. I bet we'll notice it even more when we compare her to the baby" they smiled.

Jen watched Justin rearrange some furniture between the two bedrooms.

"It's a good job we kept her old crib" Jen said, still slightly teary.

"It was obviously meant to be" he smiled at her. He knew she always found anything like this emotional so he let her take it in her stride today.

"I always dreamed of having my own family.. but what we've built together.. I count my lucky stars every day" she cried out.

Justin walked over and held her tight, kissing her head.

"We have been pretty lucky haven't we" they smiled and he wiped her tears away.

"Pregnancy makes me more emotional that I ever thought I'd be" she joked.

"I'm pretty sure you said that the last time" they chuckled. "I love when you show your emotions.. it reminds me of what a big, loving heart you have" he smiled at her.

They were interrupted with Justin's phone ringing in his pocket.

"It's your dad" he whispered as he went to answer it.

"Hello"

"Justin, it's John.. is Jen with you?"

Justin looked at Jen "yeah she's next to me why?" he was confused.
