Honeymooning

The following morning

Jen rolled over as the sun shone through the blind. She smiled seeing Justin laying on his chest with his arm under his pillow, facing her. She inched closer on her pillow and stroked his face. She couldn't believe they could ever be this happy.

He stirred at her touch and smiled cutely. He looked so handsome.

"Morning wifey" his husky morning voice greeted her. He reached over and stroked her hair.

"Morning hubby"

"I didn't think anything would feel any different but.. I'm so happy and giddy.. I feel like I'm living in a fantasy" she spoke after a while.

"I know what you mean"

They lay cuddling for a little longer, making the most of married bliss and a child free morning.

Jen went to call Phyllis to check on Rosie and Justin lay their breakfast on the balcony table.

"Aw, I thought we were having breakfast in bed" Jen said as she reappeared.

"As much as I'd love too, it would be a shame to waste this view" he held out his hand for her to join him.

She took a seat next to him and they enjoyed their breakfast, reminiscing over their special day.

"It honestly couldn't have been any better. From start to finish it was a dream" Justin said.

"First day of our next adventure" Jen lifted her mimosa to cheers Justin.

"To us."

"We should probably pick our daughter up soon. It's past noon" Jen added.

"I was thinking of taking a shower first" he winked.

"Oh... well she'll understand when she get's married" they chuckled, heading off for a shower together.

Later on, they had joined their family and friends on the beach.

"Ohh and the newlyweds finally make an appearance" Adam teased as they walked hand in hand to everyone.

"Shut up" Jackie hit him gently "You remember what it's like when you first get married"

"It doesn't last guys" he joked.

"Figured we should show our faces eventually" Jen joked back.

"Mommmmyyy" Rosie came running out the water to Jen, jumping in her arms.

"Hi baby.. oh mommy missed you" she kissed her all over making Rosie giggle.

"I swim with grandpa" she pointed at Eugene coming out the water.

"You're so brave swimming in the ocean" Justin said kissing her.

"Auntie Jenny can you build a sand castle with us?" Maple asked walking over, gripping her leg.

"Of course I will honey" she said joining the kids in the sand, who had already started.

"How you feeling man?" Jason asked Justin.

He looked from his girls to Jason and smiled "On cloud 9"

Jason patted his back, he was happy for his friends "make the most of it though, as soon as you're home she'll be driving you insane" he teased.

"All worth it bro" he added, still grinning. Jason chuckled with him, remembering the newlywed phase.

He sat watching his girls a little longer. They were all so happy. No one was on their phones or worried about anything else. Everyone was living in the moment, enjoying the peacefulness of the private island. He felt so happy.
