The following week

Jen had been convinced by Kristin to go shopping with her and the kids. She was reluctant at first due to being papped especially with Rosie but she knew at some point she'd have to make do, to be able to go out with her daughter.

They'd arrived at the mall with very few paps. It was a Wednesday morning and luckily fairly quiet.

"Just relax Jen. If they get too close I'll say something.. just enjoy yourself teaching Rosie to shop" Kristin tried her best to lift Jen's spirits.

"I know.. I'm sorry" she replied a little more cheerful "honey you have to hold my hand if you're not in the stroller" she gripped Rosie's hand tighter as she tried running ahead with the older kids.

"How's Justin getting on? One more week right"

"Yeah.. he's great, says it's going well. I'll be glad to have him back. It's been lovely just the two of us but I've missed him and I think she's picked up on him being away now. She keeps waking up in the night to sleep with me"

"Kids notice more than you think, she'll be glad to have him home"

"I know" Jen smiled sweetly as they made their way into another shop.

After picking up a few new outfits for Rosie, they stopped for lunch at a café.

"You sit down with them and I'll fetch the food" Kristin suggested as they found a table in a quiet corner.

"Come here honey" Jen lifted Rosie from the stroller onto her lap.

"Mommy big man" she pointed to the entrance of the café.

Jen turned slightly to not make it so obvious and noticed a paparazzi snapping from the window. She angled herself slightly so that Rosie was out of view.

"It's okay honey. He's gone now"

Kristin came back over with the food.

"Here, have some of this sweetie" Kristin passed Rosie a snack, sensing a meltdown about to happen.

Rosie started crying and trying to escape Jen's lap.

"No, honey you have to sit. You can't run about in here" Jen pulled her back but her crying was getting louder.

Kristin tried distracting her with food again but was having no luck. She noticed Jen looking at the pap from the corner of her eye.

"Jen it's okay. Look Rosie.. do you want this cake.. it's yummy"

"Oooh look baby. Mommy have some too" Rosie's tears stopped slightly and her lips began to smile "Yeah there you go" she calmed down and happily took some food.

Jen held her tighter on her lap.

"Thanks honey" she looked to Kristin and smiled.

"We've all been there with the tantrums Jen, it's alright"

"I know.. I was more bothered about him"

"Yeah.. I know" Kristin smiled slightly, understanding how annoying it must be to want to have a day without being followed.

As they were ready to leave Jen picked Rosie up.

"Honey can you push the stroller whilst Jen keeps hold of her" Kristin hinted to her daughter after noticing Jen struggling.

"Thanks sweetie"

"Mommy.. d..own" Rosie was fidgeting in Jen's arms.

"Not yet baby, when we get out of here" she put her hand slightly covering Rosie's face as they got near the entrance. There were now 3 paps waiting.
