I was damn near sick of waking up to bright light.

Just as I was about to start throwing curses at the glowing sun above me, the brightness dimmed to a grey, throwing red light into the sky.

Wait, what? A solar eclipse?

Scanning my surroundings, I recognised the familiar clock tower of Mystic Falls and knew that I was in the middle of town. However, everything seemed off. It was like I was still home - but wasn't?

I stood up off the gravel I'd been lying on, briefly noticing the burn of the vervain in my system had disappeared. Walking down the main street, I couldn't spot a single soul around me.

Had I slept through the apocalypse?

A soft warm breeze fluttered my hair around me, sending a sprinkle of goosebumps up my skin.

The sickly grey tone that had engulfed Mystic Falls due to the eclipse gave the town an eerie feel that I wasn't used to. Sure, we had monsters roaming the streets on a daily basis, but the town never looked scary.

10 minutes later I made it home, and the sky had returned to its previous bright sunshine. Opening the door, I found it already unlocked, and no one seemed to be inside the giant house.

"Hello?" I called out. "Mom? Ty?"

No answer.

I stepped through the threshold with ease, no invisible barrier keeping me out.

"Is anyone home?" I shouted up the spiral staircase.

Dead silence.

I heaved a sigh. Great, just great. They chain me up, drug me with vervain, leave me in the middle of town and then take off.

I collapsed onto the sofa, kicking my shoes off. I pondered what Klaus was doing right now. I bet there would be hell to pay if he found out what my family had done to one of his precious Hybrids. What they'd done to me.

Grabbing the remote, I turned on the tv and flicked through the channels aimlessly.

I stopped on a news channel when something odd caught my eye. Today's date.

May 10th 1994.

My heart sank. Suddenly, everything started to piece together. The eclipse. The abandoned town. The weather. It was October yesterday - now it's May.

1994.

"I can send her away," Liv's voice rang in my memory.

"They called them Prison Worlds."

A Prison World. That's exactly where I was. Stuck somewhere completely alone to think about what I'd done. My own personal time-out.

They really did it. My family actually sent me away because they were so ashamed of me. My Mom I could understand, but Tyler? He was the one person in the world I thought had my back - especially when he's been where I am.
