Two years later...

Time seemed to fly by, and before Mila knew it, she was already six years old—soon to be seven. The days had passed quickly, but they were filled with growth and learning. Sara, ever vigilant, followed closely behind Mila throughout the mansion, keeping her promise to watch over her and ensure her safety.

"Lady Mila, you've been getting better and better at your studies, embroidery, and even swordsmanship," Sara complimented as they walked down the hall together. Mila smiled at the praise, though she wasn't surprised. Much of what she was learning now was simply a refresher from what she had already mastered in her previous life. The only challenge she found was in her swordsmanship, where she still felt that her grip wasn't quite as strong as it needed to be.

Holding a lunch box she had carefully prepared herself, Mila felt a sense of satisfaction. "Thank you! It's nothing, really. I actually enjoy these little things!" she said cheerfully, picking up her pace as she spotted Emmett taking a break from his sword practice in the courtyard.

"Emmett!!! Emmett!!!" Mila called out excitedly as she ran toward him, her voice full of energy. Emmett looked up and smiled at the sight of her, always happy to see her bright and enthusiastic after finishing her studies.

Mila had always been adventurous, something that had often caused Sara to worry. Even when she was younger, she would find ways to sneak off and watch Leo practice his swordplay before he left for school. It was clear that Mila had a strong will and a curious spirit.

As she reached Emmett, he greeted her with a warm smile. "You're not being troublesome, are you?" he asked playfully, reaching down to pet her head.

Mila pouted slightly, crossing her arms. "What do you think I am? I'm not that troublesome!" she protested, her voice tinged with a mix of frustration and amusement. Even though she knew it was a bit childish, Mila cherished these moments when she could express herself freely with those who cared about her. She didn't have many opportunities in her previous life to truly be herself, so now she embraced the chance to be open and honest with the people who loved her.

Emmett chuckled at her response, appreciating her fiery spirit. He knew that beneath her playful exterior, Mila was a smart and capable girl who was determined to grow stronger.

"You never know," Emmett responded with a teasing smile, remembering how Mila had been more troublesome when she was younger. He then glanced at Sara, who quickly looked away, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. Turning back to Mila, he asked, "Have you eaten yet?"

"I was waiting for Emmett and Sara!" Mila replied eagerly. She opened the lunch box she had prepared, revealing a few sandwiches and some fruit on the side. "I want to have lunch with you both!"

"Alright, let's sit down first," Emmett suggested. He guided Mila to a nearby bench while he and Sara spread out a blanket on the grass. The three of them settled down, enjoying their lunch together. As Mila bit into her sandwich, she couldn't help but feel a deep sense of happiness. This simple act of sharing a meal with others felt special to her. She remembered a time when she had always eaten alone, with no one to keep her company or share a conversation.

'How did I not become a social child back then?' Mila wondered, reflecting on her past life. She felt a pang of regret for not being more open and friendly with those around her.

"Lady Mila?" A familiar voice interrupted her thoughts. The three of them turned to see Trivett approaching. Mila recognized him from when she was an infant, though they hadn't spoken much. He had often tried to gently correct her when she insisted on calling him "butler."

"Hm?" Mila responded, standing up after finishing her sandwich. She walked over to Trivett and wrapped her arms around him in a warm hug. Trivett smiled down at her, clearly pleased by her affectionate gesture. Mila had made it a habit to hug those she cared about, hoping it would strengthen her bonds and perhaps even steer her away from any misfortunes.
