Almost a week now, Mila had finally made it to the first town in Mireraweth kingdom that she saved and where she had met Cotton. 'I wonder how Cotton and Net are.' Thinking about how long it had been since she last saw the two, she hoped that they were doing fine. Wearing a mask that hid her eyes, Mila saw the same old man who was still alive and well.

"Paul..." She said with the old man hearing his name, but it was a more mature voice calling out to him. He turned around, shocked to see the same girl who saved them was alive and fully grown.

"Miss!!!" He rushed over to see that she wasn't dead but more than alive. "You've been unheard of for six years! I can't believe you're here!" He had tears falling as Mila smiled, seeing that he remembered her the most. All townspeople saw her, some with newborn children while some still recalled her heroic stand there.

"You've been doing well here. I'm glad that your home is fine and well, along with your people." Mila looked around, surrounded by the townspeople greeting her one after another. Being led into the tavern, she smiled, seeing how they had the same kind hearts and generosity as six years ago.

"Ever since you managed all of those evil and greedy governors, no one dares to become governor because they fear you."

"You've helped us a lot!"

"You are the hero of this kingdom!"

"We can never forget your kindness."

Mila couldn't say anything, but she didn't know who was running the towns and if there was no one to help with trades for products. "Who's been running the town then?" Looking at them all, she hoped there wasn't any trouble with that part.

They all smiled, knowing that she looked concerned and worried about them all. "It's okay. Lord Perry has been taking care of the town's matters and affairs. At first, we all thought of him as a greedy and selfish man, but he turned out to be fair and responsible." Paul smiled, telling Mila, who couldn't believe that her dear friend was handling the towns.

"That's good. If he ever does change then don't bother to tell me when I come again." Mila told them when they knew she would, either way, find out eventually if there ever was a time they were in trouble. 'Lord Perry, it has been long since we last met. I wonder how you and Iris are right now.' Mila did not know how both were, but she recalled them both being engaged.

"Where are you headed?" Paul then asked, looking at the young lady traveling alone without any of her comrades by her side.

"I'm heading to the Mireraweth palace." Mila was not afraid to say so when she knew that Paul would be concerned for her safety since she was wanted as a criminal—as this masked individual and as Duke Reynard's daughter.

"What?!?!" Paul and everyone else were shocked since they heard of the rumors of her making the emperor crippled. They did not think that she would fulfill a child's wish to save their family in the palace even though they did not know that the child and masked individual was Mila, who was the same person only trying to save and protect her family and friends.

"I know of the rumors since it was indeed true, but I will not stand idle. Something is happening at the palace that needs to be resolved. You all must be sure to avoid suspicious individuals or groups coming by." Mila looked at them all since she sensed no mana stones. No people in this town used mana stones since they found that mana is like a disease to common people. The Mana Hunters used mana stones, which could not be hidden away so easily since those born with mana could sense it on the spot.

"Is it that big of a matter?" Paul said, looking worriedly at Mila, whom he still felt needed to be careful, mostly when she was alone.

"It is a big matter. Bigger than you think. It can cause great harm to future generations and affect many innocent lives. They have resorted to using children who become soulless and empty inside. The children, in the end, die and pass away like they just passed in their sleep." Mila knew that it could cause great harm to them if they had children involved. "I best be going soon. Thank you for your generosity." Mila got up with Paul knowing that they could never stop her from doing what she knew was right.
