"We've successfully protected the princess!!!" Noah said with his men yelling the same words after behind him. Noah had used up the most for the teleportation, resulting in him coughing out a bit of blood off to the side, avoiding it from hitting onto the princess. 'It seems as though it drained me more than I thought it did.' Noah had to keep his posture, being sure not to drop the princess in his hands.
Ambrose looked to all who risked their lives to protect his firstborn child as he looked closely, seeing the infant with silky violet hair like Mila. 'My child.' Then, he saw her open her eyes with a smile forming with a giggle forming just as she looked up to Ambrose. Ambrose clearly saw the red violet eyes like his, slowly he then grabbed the child carrying her in his arms. "S-She's my... daughter." Ambrose could not keep his eyes off her, seeing how she was the complete reflection of Mila with her eyes being the only different part that proved that he was indeed her father. 'A complete reflection of Mila.' Ambrose lightly rubbed her cheek, seeing how soft her cheeks were.
"She's cough Mila's child. Cough cough She named her... Hersilia." Bert was struggling to stay conscious since he managed to wake up when he was in pain from using his body to shield Hersilia during the entire chase from the Mana Hunters that were sent after them. Looking to see the man that they called 'your highness'. He knew that the symbol on Hersilia's body belonged to the royal family in the Zameth kingdom. Bert never had the chance to tell Mila that her daughter may belong to a royal family.
"Delicate and tender." Ambrose knew the meaning of the name that his daughter was given by none other than his future empress and his only woman. "She would give our child such a beautiful name." Ambrose could not help but lay his forehead with Hersilia's forehead, feeling immersive happiness seeing his daughter for the first time right in front of him. He then felt two small palms lay on his cheeks making him look at his daughter who was gentle just like her name. "Father will do his best no matter what to bring back your mother. He will also do his best to protect everyone, even you." Ambrose kissed his daughter's forehead then held her close to him.
"I suppose she is my granddaughter." Ambrose's grandfather said, showing up to take a closer look at the infant. Looking at the infant who held Ambrose's eyes which ran in Duke Garrick's bloodline while the royal family's symbol and curse ran in her without a doubt.
"Yes, she is your granddaughter and my daughter." Ambrose allowed his grandfather to see Hersilia, but he didn't want to hand her over to him. He was a father now and wanted to protect her at all costs. Holding his daughter dearly in his arms, he hoped to be reunited with Mila soon. He then remembered that all of his men fought to protect his daughter as well as the unknown man who came with his friends and comrades. "All of you go ahead and get healed up. Even you." Ambrose looked to the man who had protected his first child and told him her name once they arrived.
"I am... Bert Conner. I only wish to stay... by the cough princess's side as her doctor." Bert did not want to leave the little princess alone. He had been caring for her ever since she was born, he could only continue to do his duty as her doctor. Along with keeping his promise with Mila who they had no idea if she was alive or not.
"Take care of your health first, then you can be her doctor. You cannot do your duty until you've fully healed." Ambrose knew that they needed to take care of themselves first before doing something else. "Also, everyone here must not say anything about me having a daughter. It is not time yet to reveal her to the world. They are not ready to know yet." Ambrose did not want his daughter to be endangered if anyone were to find out that he had a child in secret. It would become harder for them to remain safe if they were to find out about his secret life. He even knew that Bert would want to stay by Hersilia's side since he recalled Bert being the doctor for the Noble family, but he needed to first get treated. He had only seen Bert once, but they never truly interacted with one another. 'Mila, I will surely find you.' Ambrose had taken his daughter to get washed and put into new fresh clothes. 'I will be sure to take care of our child in your stead.'
