After dismounting the horse, Mila carefully surveyed her surroundings to ensure no one was lurking nearby or eavesdropping. Once she was satisfied that they were alone, she turned her attention back to the horse. "So, what's the story? Did they feed you something dangerous, or was there some other kind of mistreatment?" She asked, her tone direct. She tried to keep it quiet to avoid any trouble since many would think she was either crazy or could truly understand beasts.

The horse seemed taken aback, his ears flicking in confusion. 'What is this human doing?' He thought, perplexed by the situation. He was just an ordinary horse with a rock element, used to humans giving commands but not engaging in conversation.

"You know, I can understand you," Mila stated, crossing her arms as she observed the horse's reaction.

'There's no way a human could understand a beast like me, the horse thought,' grunting and turning his head away, clearly annoyed by what he assumed was a futile attempt at communication.

"Oh, so 'there's no way a human could understand a beast like you,' huh?" Mila echoed his thoughts back to him with a smirk, watching as the horse's eyes widened in shock.

'What are you?!' The horse stepped closer, his suspicions growing. This human must be something otherworldly, something forgotten in the annals of time.

Mila sighed, shaking her head at his rudeness. "You're quite a disrespectful horse, aren't you? Now, tell me—what did those women try to do to you?" She wasn't about to let the matter go until she had some answers.

'You mean those ugly women who tried to harm me?' Buck, as the horse revealed himself to be called, snorted in disdain. 'They tried to poison me, but I'm no fool. I'm not just some dumb beast that eats anything given to me.' His pride was evident, and Mila couldn't help but be amused by his attitude.

Mila was impressed by how clever and resilient Buck was, though she couldn't help but wonder why he hadn't thrown her off his back if he was so stubborn. "What's your name?" she asked, hoping to establish a connection with him.

'Buck... and yours?' Buck responded, his curiosity piqued by this unusual human who could speak with him.

"Mila... Mila Noble," she replied, meeting his gaze. There was a moment of mutual understanding between them, a silent agreement that they were on the same side. "How about we get some payback on those 'ugly women' who tried to harm you?" Mila suggested, offering a mischievous smile.

Buck trotted over to her, clearly intrigued by the idea. 'Such an offer shouldn't be turned down,' he agreed, stopping in front of her as if inviting her to mount him again. 'Get on. If we're going to get revenge, we should do it together and with a quicker pace.'

"Do you think her horse has gone wild by now?" Elsie asked with a sly smile, glancing over at Vita, who had orchestrated the plan from the start. A few of the other ladies had eagerly joined in, hoping to see Mila suffer.

"It must have. That horse should have bolted off a cliff by now, especially after eating those 'treats' we gave it. There's no way she could've survived if the horse did what it was supposed to." Vita pulled the reins of her horse, slowing down as she considered the success of their cruel plan.

"What's wrong?" Elsie inquired, noticing Vita's sudden halt and the way she was now intently focused on something deeper within the forest. The forest is not a safe place to remain for long.

"Shh... look," Vita whispered, gesturing for silence. Both women peered through the dense foliage, spotting a large two-tailed warthog rummaging through the underbrush for food. The beast's thick, earthy brown fur indicated its plant element, a detail that allowed experienced hunters like them to identify its powers.
