63: extra hands

Elaine's POV

I'm so excited about today. I love my job and stuff but it's a new kinda fun when I volunteer in shelters. Seeing all those kids faces glow when they see you is priceless. So I wake up and do my morning routine which includes going for a jog then preparing for work. After doing my routine I go to work, today Angie is coming back so thank goodness I don't have to tolerate Stephanie anymore. She's fine but she just doesn't know when to shut up and she doesn't have a filter. Anyway I get to work and I'm greeted by Angie.

Angie: morning doc

Elaine: morning, it's nice to have you back

Angie: it's also nice to be back

Elaine: how was your leave? How's little Micheal?

Angie: he's fine and he loves the toys you got him

Elaine: I'm glad he does

Angie: how are you though?

Elaine: I'm good

Angie: you look good too

Elaine: thank you, are you coming to the shelter later on?

Angie: yeah I'll come but I won't stay for long

Elaine: okay, so who am I seeing first?

I left work a little early to go to the shelter. At work they allow us to leave work early if we're going to volunteer as long as you submit proof. Before Angie and I leave for the shelter I send Claudia and Zara the location.

Billie's POV

I was just lazing around in my house by my house I mean my parents house, when I got a call from Claudia.

Billie: hey

Claudia: hi I need your help asap

Billie: Claudia I'm tired

Claudia: Billie please this is urgent

Billie: what do you want?

Claudia: I want you to go and help Elaine in a shelter, Zara and I had promised to help but we're a bit held up here

Billie: I don't know

Claudia: Billie please

Billie: okay fine send me her location

Claudia: thank you you're the best

Billie: yeah yeah yeah

She ends the call then she sends me the location. I knew exactly what Zara and Claudia were doing and I was hesitant for a moment but then I thought it would be nice to be alone with Elaine. I go and change into something else then drive to the shelter.

Elaine's POV

I've been here for the past thirty minutes and none of my friends are here talk about being punctual. I was excited for Zara and Claudia to finally meet Alexandra. My phone starts ringing and it's Alex.

Elaine: hey

Alex: hey I'm outside

Elaine: okay I'm coming.

She drops the call and I walk to the parking lot.

Elaine: hey you made it

Alex: hey I'm sorry I'm late

Elaine: it's okay

I go in for a hug. While we were still hugging a car I know very well parks next to us. Billie steps out of her car carrying a box.

Billie: hey

Elaine: hi

Alex: (nods)

Billie: Zara and Claudia couldn't come so they sent me instead

Elaine: it's okay we can use extra hands

Billie: uhm I have some stationary here

Elaine: thank you follow me

Billie's POV

When I pulled up Elaine was hugging this brunette, I guess it's Alex. Elaine looked beautiful as usual and today she was wearing her butterfly belly ring, I could tell since she had tied the t-shirt she was wearing. Alex and I followed her and she showed us what to do.

Elaine: Uhm if you'll excuse me for a moment

Alex and I both respond at the same time.

Alex: sure senorita

Billie: sure mamas

After that she walked away.

Elaine's POV

Gosh I'm so killing Zara and Claudia. How can they do such a thing. Now I'm stuck with my ex and someone who has a thing for me. I feel like I'm in some kinda romcom. I try to call both Zara and Claudia but they had switched off their phones. If I see them they're so dead. I walk Billie and Alex and they were helping with distributing the meals. After we serve the kids we sit down in a table.

Elaine: thank you guys for coming, it really means a lot to me

Alex: it's no big deal just feeding children

Billie: it's really fun being around these kids

Billie's POV

After we served kids we sat down for little bit. Elaine was then called by someone, after Elaine left a kid Alex had served came up to her and touched her with dirty hands leaving a stain in her pants.

Alex: what the fuck kid?

Billie: yo dude relax it's just a kid

Alex: we'll these are not just pants they cost a fortune

Billie: come on you're gonna make him cry

She just clicks her tongue at me then tries to wipe off the stain. After a few minutes Elaine came back and found Alex talking to herself.

Elaine: hey what's wrong?

Alex: I have to go now

Elaine: oh

Alex hugs Elaine then place a kiss on her neck then smirks at me. Okay this is pure disrespect. I can see that she caught Elaine off guard too as she was just as surprise as me at Alex placing a kiss on her neck. She pulls away from the hug.

Alex: I need my answer

Elaine: it's okay I'll go on a date with you

Alex: okay I'll let you know the date and time

She then leaves, Elaine turn to me and flashes a smile.

Elaine: we are done, wanna get out of here

Billie: sure I just have just the place in mind follow me

Elaine: sure
