191: silent

Elaine's POV

I woke up early in the morning and went for a 4km jog. I was so mad at Billie, I can't believe she admitted she likes her. I got in the house and it was very quiet so I assume everyone is still asleep. I tidy the toys that we're all over the lounge and then go freshen up. When I was done freshening up Aidan wakes up, I go to his room and take him.

Elaine: you're already awake big boy?

He smiles and makes baby sounds.

Elaine: you're happy to see mommie?

He makes baby sounds

Elaine: yes you are yes you are, let's go change your nappy.

I go change his nappy then I take him to the kitchen with me. When we get there I make him some food. Skylar wakes up while I was feeding him and he makes noises when he sees her. She waves at us.

Elaine: morning baby

She comes and clings on my leg, I pick her up  and give her a morning kiss.

Elaine: how did you sleep?

Skylar: good, where's mom?

Elaine: she's sleeping, have you brushed your teeth yet?

She shakes her head

Elaine: go brush them so I can make you breakfast

She sluggishly went upstairs. After a few minutes she came back and I made her oatmeal with cranberries.

Skylar: I don't want it

I just ignore her diva tantrums and continue feeding Aidan.

Elaine: Skylar eat your breakfast is getting cold

Skylar: huh uh

Elaine: (sigh) okay I'll feed you just now

She smiles at me and wait for me to finish feeding Aidan. When I was done feeding Aidan I fed her.

Elaine: you're such a baby

Skylar: (giggles) grandma said we should come today

Elaine: okay you'll go, eat first

I feed her then Billie comes holding her head.

Skylar: mom

Billie: hello angel

Aidan makes sounds and wiggle from the high chair. She takes him out of the high chair and toss him in the air a couple of times.

Billie: how are you? You're good aren't you?

Skylar: mom me too

She puts him down and toss her. After that she goes to the fridge and grab some water, then goes upstairs. After I was done feeding the kids I bathe them and I also freshen up. We were now waiting for Billie who was supposed to drive us to her parents. If it was up to me we would've left by now but we all have the be there as we promised. She finally comes and drives to her parents, the only sound that was there was the radio sound until we got to her parents

Maggie: morning

Elaine: morning how are you?

Maggie: I'm good, come in

We got in and hugged then I went to help her with preparing lunch

Maggie: honey are you okay?

Elaine: (fake smiles) yeah I'm okay, Uhm where can I get some canned peaches?

Maggie: check in the pantry

I decide to relieve her and make lunch by myself. Claudia gets here and she helps me.

Claudia: are you okay? you're too quiet

Elaine: yeah

Claudia: Elaine talk to me

Elaine: (fake smiles) I'm fine I swear

Claudia: okay you know where to find me if you want to talk

I just smile at her and continue with what I was doing. Billie gets in the kitchen and greets Claudia and gets refreshments then leave

Claudia: are y'all fighting?

Elaine: I don't want to talk about it

Claudia: okay, Uhm did you see the peeler?

Elaine: here, when was the last time you spoke to Zara?

Claudia: (giggle) I was talking to her last night, she said you weren't answering you phone

Elaine: it must've been on silent
