175: piece of you

Elaine's POV

After I went upstairs I got in the nearest bathroom and cried. I was now insecure again, I know Billie is good looking and famous so she can leave me anytime. I get in the bathroom then go freshen up after I was done I wear PJs even though it was around five at noon. Aidan wakes up and I go with him downstairs and find Billie watching TV.  I walk past her and go in the dinning room and nurse Aidan. Skylar came back a little while ago, she was sitting on Billie's lap and they were watching TV together. Earlier on I ended up not cooking, so I guess we're having take aways. From the dinning room I could hear Skylar and Billie talk.

Skylar: mom I'm hungry

Billie: what you want to eat kiddo?

Skylar: (grins) burger?

Billie: okay go ask mommie what she wants to eat?

Skylar: okay

Skylar walks up to me and kiss Aidan and he tries to hit her and she giggles.

Elaine: huh uh Aidan don't hit your sister

He looks at me then continue feeding.

Elaine: hello my baby

Skylar: hello mommie

Elaine: how was class?

Skylar: (shrug) we did what we do

Elaine: (giggle)

Skylar: mom said I should ask you what you want to eat?

Elaine: I'm not hungry

Skylar: okay

She goes back to Billie and give her the response, after a minute Billie came and sat across me.

Billie: what are you gonna eat?

Elaine: (silence)

Billie: Elaine I'm talking to you

Elaine: I'm not hungry

Billie: you have to eat you're lactating

Elaine: so?

Billie: gosh Elaine stop being selfish and fucken eat!

I hate talking when my feelings get the better of me instead I shed a tear and stand up to walk away. She grabs me by my hand.

Billie: baby I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that

I just look at her with eyes full of hurt and shrug her off and went to bed. I put Aidan next to me and we slept after a decade because Aidan wasn't feeling sleepy. When we were sleeping like that Billie covered us with a blanket, then went back downstairs. I just layed like that and silently cried. Billie always keeps things from me and they always find a way to come back and haunt us, I can't believe that her ex was here asking her to take him back. I guess I cried myself to sleep because I was woken up by Billie getting in bed holding me.

Elaine: where's Aidan?

Billie: in his cot

After she answered me I got off bed and took some blankets from where I keep them, and when I was about to walk out the door she grabs me.

Billie: Elaine talk to me what's going on?

I look at her and tears just fall from my face.

Billie: mamas talk to me, it hurts seeing you hurt like that

Elaine: then why do you hurt me?

Billie: babe I also didn't know he was gonna come here

Elaine: but you could've told me about him, you always do this you make me look like a fool. Had I known that he was your ex I wouldn't have let him touch Aidan let alone let him in.

Billie: baby I'm sorry I didn't think it was necessary, I thought that it's all in the past and I'll never see him again

Elaine: sometimes I feel like you don't trust me, you never tell me things they just erupt like volcano in my face. Billie I know almost nothing about you before we met but you know everything about me. I just want you to give me a piece of you that's all I ever wanted. I don't care about your fortunes and all that I just love you and it seems to me that I keep getting hurt for being in love with you. I'll sleep in the guest room until you're ready to open up to me.

Billie: don't go I'll go

Elaine: thank you

She then took the blankets and walked out, I got in bed and cried myself to sleep again.
