Elaine's POV

I wake up early as usual and go for a jog. When I come back . I find Billie already awake.

Elaine: baby

Billie: baby where did you go?

Elaine: I went to take a quick jog

Billie: should I take you to work or you'll drive yourself?

Elaine: you can take me if you'll fetch me

Billie: okay go freshen up

I go freshen up

Elaine: which dress should I wear? The red one or the black one!

Billie: the red one looks nice

Elaine: okay

I wear the dress and she drives me to work

Billie: your lunch is still at one right?

Elaine: yeah

Billie: I was thinking

Elaine: about?

Billie: our anniversary I didn't get you anything

Elaine: which one? We had broken up remember?

Billie: no you had broken up with me abut I was still in a relationship with you

Elaine: (giggle) you're crazy

Billie: as I was saying I didn't get you anything

Elaine: nope you got me a broken heart

She just keeps quiet

Elaine: I was just kidding I'm over that okay? I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable

Billie: so what do you want?

Elaine: anything really, I'll take anything that comes from you

Billie: like what?

Elaine: you're a big girl I'm sure you can figure that out

Billie: I'll see what I can get you, we're here

Elaine: I'll see you later

I lean in and kiss her

Billie: I love you

Elaine: love you too

I then quickly walk in my office and find Angie.

Angie: morning doc

Elaine: morning how are you?

Angie: I'm fine you?

Elaine: I'm good

She then fills me up on patients I'll be seeing today. Then we get to work. The day moves pretty fast and it was already my lunch. I was waiting for Billie with lunch when someone knocked on my door.

Elaine: come in

Alex comes in and she had a swollen upper lip.

Elaine: hi

Alex: hi how are you?

Elaine: I'm good, take a seat

She sits down

Elaine: about yesterday I'm so...

Alex: no it's okay

Elaine: so what brings you here?

Alex: I just wanted to see you, I know it was awkward the last time we saw each other but I just want to make that right.

Elaine: it's okay really, I was in the wrong so you had every right to react the way that you did

Alex: I'm sorry for trying to y'know

I knew she was talking about her attempt to screw me. So I just smile at her

Elaine: it's okay. Uhm would you mind if I took a look at your lip?

Alex: I'm not sure

Elaine: please

Alex: okay

I walk around and examine her, she bit her lips when Billie connected that upper cut.

Elaine: is it painful?

Alex: a little

Elaine: Uhm I'll get some meds delivered to your house okay?

Alex: no I'll be fine

Elaine: it's okay I'll pay, it's kinda my fault you're like this

Alex: no it's not your fault

Elaine: well my girlfriend did this to you so I'll take the responsibility

Alex: if you insist anyway I have to leave now

Elaine: I'll see you around

Alex: bye

She stands up and the door opens. It was my hot headed girlfriend. I anxiously stand there watching them while crossing my fingers that they don't do anything stupid. They give each other nasty looks and then bump shoulders before Alex walks out. After that I start breathing again as I was holding my breath. I walk up to Billie put my arms around her shoulder and peck her lips. She holds my waist and gives me a deep kiss.

Billie: what was she doing here?

Elaine: she just wanted to see me

Billie: why did she want to see you?

Elaine: that's what friends are for

Billie: friends?

Elaine: yes friends

Billie: (sigh) Elaine I don't like her

Elaine: I also don't like Clair but she still works for you

Yes Clair still works for Billie, no I didn't want her to loose her livelihood plus she was really good at the job, but she no longer works directly with Billie.

Billie: okay fine but one mistake I'll knock her teeth out

Elaine: thank you you're the best

Billie: I really don't like this

Elaine: don't you trust me?

Billie: not you her

Elaine: (giggle) you sound like a movie character

She kisses me then we sit on top of my desk.

Elaine: what did you get me?

Billie: I got you vegan pasta and meatballs

Elaine: yummy
