Elaine's POV

We left the shelter and I followed Billie to a cliff overlooking the city. I was in my car listening to her songs, no I wasn't gonna deprive myself of good music because Billie couldn't keep to herself. She stops her car and I also stop then she come to open the door for me, yes she's still romantic like that.

Elaine: thank you

Billie: sure...you still listen to my songs?

Elaine: yeah being a crappy girlfriend won't take away from you being a great artist

Billie: Oh

Elaine: I'm sorry I didn't mean to come for you like that

Billie: it's okay I guess I deserve it

Elaine: so what are we doing here

Billie: I just wanted to be alone with you

Elaine: oh

Billie: come here

She helps me get on top of her car and we sit up on the roof top.

Elaine: the city is amazing from here

Billie: wait until you see the shooting star shower

Elaine: will it shower today?

Billie: yeah

Elaine: I can't wait

After that we stayed in silence then a few minutes later the shower started. We looked at the shower in awe. I turn to look at her staring at the sky and she looked gorgeous and her eyes were even more oceanic than before.

Billie: it's beautiful isn't it?

Elaine: yeah it's beautiful

Billie: what did you wish for?

Elaine: I wish for my family and friends to have everything they ever wanted (smile) you?

Billie: I wished to have you as my girlfriend again

Elaine: oh

She then sits up straight and cups my face.

Billie: you look beautiful

She tries to kiss me but I look away and her lips land on my cheek.

Billie: Elaine I love you

Elaine: Billie you said you'd let me go

Billie: I lied to myself and you. I thought I could but being around you brings back all the feelings I have for you

Elaine: Billie we can't be together

Billie: why not?

Elaine: Billie we just can't

Billie: Elaine I love you

Elaine: Billie we talked about this

Billie: Elaine...

Elaine: Billie you promised

Billie: can we please try agian

Elaine: Billie...

Billie: why?

Elaine: (silence)

Billie: is it because of Alex?

Elaine: (silence)

Billie: don't tell me you like her

I just farrow my brows and look at her.

Elaine: why?why Billie? because it doesn't sit well with you?why is everything about you?

Billie: Elaine stop being so fucken naive. Don't you see she doesn't love you!

Elaine: (bitter giggle) and you do? You love me so much that you saw it fit to cheat on me right?

Billie: Elaine...

Elaine: no Billie I'm tired of the fact that everything has to be about you. Well I'm sorry if it kills you to see me happy

I then get off her car and got in mine and drove away. I was so pissed, why is she making this about her. She has the nerve to tell me that Alex doesn't love me, I mean who does she think she is? I can't believe that I thought she changed. In her eyes everything revolves around her I'm so sick and tired of Billie. I go to my apartment and find Zara waiting for me with a smile plastered on her face.

Zara: so....

Elaine: how could you? You could've just said if you didn't wanna come!

Zara: what's wrong?

Elaine: what's wrong? It's everyone thinking they have a fucken say in my love life. That's what's wrong!

Zara: what are you talking about?

Elaine: Zara you brought Billie and imagine how awkward it was being around Billie and Alex at the same time.

Zara: what? Alex was there too?

Elaine: What do you think?

Zara: I'm sorry I didn't know

Elaine: well you would've known had you asked me

Zara: Elaine I'm sorry

Elaine: no you're not Zara, the thing with you is you always have a hidden agenda. I don't know why can't y'all get it in your thick skulls  that Billie and I are no more. She even has the nerve to tell me that Alex doesn't love and she does!

Zara looks at me with eyes full of worry and regret. I  stomp away to my room and try to sleep but I just couldn't. I can't put what Billie said behind me, I don't know where she gets the nerves from, someone honestly tell me where she gets them from.
