Elaine's POV

Working from home is supposed to be peaceful and all but when you have a toddler peace just doesn't exist in your vocabulary. I had my paperwork all over the lounge for my medical research, Skylar was with me and I've already answered over a thousand questions.

Skylar: mommie how did you get me?

Elaine: you fell from the sky, now let mommie work

Skylar: okay

She agrees but she doesn't go she sits down next to me.

Skylar: mommie

Elaine: Skylar?

Skylar: can I please play with your hair?

Elaine: okay

She plays with my hair while I work. She gets bored because I wasn't paying an attention to her.

Skylar: mommie I'm hungry

Elaine: (sigh) you want a sandwich?

Skylar: no

Elaine: what do you want then?

Skylar: ice cream

Elaine: you can't be hungry for ice cream

Skylar: (puppies eyes)

Elaine: let's make a deal I'll make you a sandwich then you get ice cream?

She grins and her dimple comes out. I go make her a sandwich then continue with work. She slowly eats the sandwich.

Skylar: mommie I'm full

Elaine: but you're not done eating

Skylar: but I'm full

Elaine: okay go put the plate in the kitchen counter

She does as I tell her and she sits quietly next to me.

Skylar: mommie.....

I was so frustrated cause I was hitting dead ends with my research, and Skylar keeps bugging me so I finally snap at her

Elaine: no Skylar I have to work now go play!

She give me puppies eyes then goes upstairs, after a short period of time she comes back with Billie carrying her. She was crying.

Billie: what did you do to her?

Elaine: why is she crying?

Billie: I should be asking you

Elaine: baby come here

She gets off Billie and comes to me, I carry her.

Elaine: baby what's wrong?

Skylar: you shouted at me

Elaine: I'm sorry baby mommie didn't mean to make you cry, don't cry now

I wipe her tears away, then take her to the kitchen.

Elaine: want ice cream sandwich?

Skylar: (nods)

I pecks her lips and make her an ice cream sandwich. After making her a sandwich she goes and watch TV. I decided to clear up my paperwork and start on dinner. After I'm done with dinner I dish up for everyone.

Elaine: Skylar

Skylar: mommie

Elaine: go tell your mom dinner is ready

She goes and quickly comes back

Skylar: she said she's not hungry

Elaine: oh come let me feed you

I feed Skylar, bathe her then tuck her in bed

Skylar: mommie are you mad at me?

Elaine: no baby mommie is not mad at you okay?

Skylar: okay

Elaine: mommie loves you okay?

Skylar: I love mommie too

Elaine: good night

I give her a goodnight kiss then go to my bedroom. When I get there I find Billie writing something and she eyes me. I know she's still mad at me because I'm made Skylar cry, she hates seeing her cry. I go freshen up and when I was done I sit on the bed and watch Billie who ignores me. It was tense so I walk up to her and massage her and she ignores me still. I turn her seat around and get on top of her then kiss her cheek.

Elaine: are you still mad at me?

She just keeps quiet and stare at me, which prompts me to just kiss her, for a moment she didn't kiss me back but she eventually did.

Elaine: I'm sorry okay?

Billie: it's fine I might have overreacted

Elaine: you think?

Billie: (chuckle and grabs my ass) so where were we?

I giggle and get off her

Elaine: we're sleeping

Billie: baby c'mere

Elaine: (giggle) nope

Billie: mamas come here

Elaine: no

Billie: babyyyyy

Elaine: come give me a massage then maybe you'll get what you want
