Elaine's POV

I have been pregnant for four months now but no one knew yet except for Billie and I. I was still working even though Billie didn't like it at all because she says I'm putting too much strain on myself. So I worked as little as I could.

Billie was coming to fetch me for our check up. So I headed out toof my office to the parking lot where I found her already waiting for me. She got out, we hugged and she pecked my lips, then she opened the door for me. She gets in the car starts driving then puts her hand on my bump and brushes it.

Billie: how are you?

Elaine: besides being tired I'm fine

Billie: when we get home I'll run you a bubble bath then give you a massage okay?

Elaine: okay but we have to go to the appointment first, where is the guacamole I asked for?

Billie: check it in the back seat

I have weird cravings all the times, I take the guacamole from the back seat and my goodness it tasted so good.

Elaine: oh my goodness where did you get this?

Billie: I made it

Elaine: this is so good, I could eat a whole island filled with these

Billie: (chuckle)

Elaine: gosh you have to show me how you did it

Billie: (chuckle)

I kept going on and on about good the guacamole was until we arrived to our appointment. When we got to the appointment the doctor did all the necessary check ups then checked the gender, which I didn't want to know but Billie did so they gave her an envelope with the gender.

Billie: thank you doc...can I ask something?

Dr: sure

Billie: we can still y'know?

I nudge her

Elaine: Billie!

Billie: what? I want to know

Dr: yes you can still do it

Billie: okay thank you

Elaine: bye we'll see you in the next appointment

We got in the car and drove home, when I got home she did as she promised she ran me a bubble bath and when I was done we eat dinner then she gave me a foot massage. While we were sitting like that promising each other the world Skylar came to us running then she launched herself on Billie who caught her.

Billie: careful princesa

Skylar: (giggle)

Billie tickles her and she accidentally kicked my bump.

Elaine: ah

Billie: baby are you okay?

Elaine: I'll be fine

Billie: are you sure?

Skylar: sorry mommie

Elaine: come here

She comes to me with a sad face, I lift the top up and reveal my bump to her.

Elaine: mommie is having another baby

She looks at me perplexed, she tries to knock on my tummy but I hold her tiny hand.

My bump was tiny if you saw it you'd probably think I'm in the second month or something. So Skylar's reaction was expected because most of the time I wore baggy clothes and I was at work so I didn't spend as much time with her.

Skylar: you swallowed the baby?

Elaine: no I didn't

She looks both Billie and I even more confused

Skylar: mommie how did you do it?

Elaine: the doctors put it in there

Skylar: but you said babies come from the sky, so why is this one inside you?

Oh my goodness I shouldn't have lied to her because now I'm trapped.

Billie: the baby is inside so mommie can protect it until it's old enough to come to this world

Skylar: then why didn't mom swallow it too?

Elaine: because... she's...she wants to take care of you

Skylar: so did she swallow me too?

Elaine: angel I didn't swallow the baby I'm pregnant

Skylar: huh?

Elaine: pregnant

Skylar: what is pegnant?

Elaine: (giggle) means I'm going to have a baby

Skylar: how will it come out?

Elaine: the doctors will take it out

She sits next to be with a confused look on her face, she then lies her head on my tummy.

Skylar: the baby doesn't talk?

Elaine: no

Skylar: how does it eat?

Elaine: when I eat it also eats

Skylar: you have the same mouth?

Elaine: (sigh) it's gonna be a long night

Billie: (chuckles)

I go on to explain to Skylar about every question she had.

Skylar: so I'm gonna have sister?

Elaine: (giggle) or a brother

Skylar: but I want a sister I can play dress up with

Billie: you can always play dress up with your brother too if you're also gonna play cars with him

She stands up and start jumping around singing

Skylar: mommie us having a baby

Billie: (chuckle) I'll tuck her in

Elaine: please do I'm so tired
