Elaine's POV

I don't know when I fell asleep but I heard a voice saying mommie, at first I thought I was dreaming and then it called again. I wake up and see that Skylar had woken up. I move to her and brush her hair away from her face.

Elaine: angel

Skylar: mommie

She then started crying from the pain I guess because she pointed to her arm, that had a cast on it.

Elaine: don't cry baby I'll get you a doctor

I pressed the button and Stacey came rushing

Stacey: she's awake?

Elaine: yeah can you please call Brian

Stacey: his shift ended so he left

Elaine: okay... Uhm I'll do it myself

Stacey: Uhm...

Elaine: please don't fight me on this one just get me my stethoscope and a ophthalmo- scope. Please tell my wife that Skylar is awake she's somewhere in the cafeteria.

Stacey: yes ma'am

She then went and got me what I wanted and I checked Skylar. While I was checking her like that Billie walked in and Skylar jumped out of joy.

Elaine: angel relax you're gonna hurt yourself

Skylar: mom mom mom

Billie: little angel, how are you?

Skylar just smiles at Billie, I could see the joy written all over her eyes. She was so happy I couldn't explain it. Billie went and hug her.

Elaine: be careful

Billie: I am

Skylar: you got me candy?

Elaine: (giggle) you just woke up but you're already thinking about candy

Skylar: mom said shell get me

Billie: yes I did say that but candy is not allowed in hospital, you'll get it when we get home okay?

Skylar: let's go now

Elaine: no baby the doctor still has to check you

Skylar: (pouts) I wanna go now

Elaine: (giggle) my drama queen is back

While we were still talking like that Billie's parents get in.

Skylar: grandma

Maggie: my baby is awake how are you?

Skylar: (she points at the cast) hurt

Pat: sorry little princess, grandpa will make it stop okay?

Skylar: (nods)

Then Fin, Claudia and Zara walk in.

Skylar: uncle

Fin: my favourite niece

Claudia: how are you princess?

Skylar: sore

Zara: look what I got?

She gives her candy

Skylar: candy!

Elaine: what do we say?

Skylar: thank you, but mom said candy is not eaten here

Elaine: aunt Zara snuck it in just for you

Skylar: (smile)

Time Skip

It's been a week since Skylar was discharged and she's making a very quick recovery.

Skylar: mommie I'm itchy

She points at her cast, we had a stick like thing that we used to relieve her whenever she was itchy.

Elaine: are you fine now?

Skylar: (nods) mommie take it off

Elaine: baby you can't you haven't fully recovered yet

She sits down and pouts, I was working on some paper work so I just giggle at her silly tantrum. Billie comes down from upstairs still drying her hair. She kisses my cheek and looks at Skylar.

Billie: miss why are you all pouty?

Elaine: she wants to take the cast off

Billie: (chuckle) she hasn't recovered yet

Elaine: that's what I told her

Billie: come here let me show you a trick

Skylar goes to Billie and she gets a marker and starts drawing on Skylar's cast.

Billie: see

Skylar's eyes lighten up and that meant that her naughty eye has been opened. She takes the marker and starts drawing on her cast.

Billie: come babe write or draw something.

I take the marker and draw butterflies. I look at Billie's drawing and she had draw our faces on the cast. I look at her and she was too focused drawing on the cast to see me staring at her. After a while she turned around and smiled at me.

Billie: it's rude to stare

Elaine: not when what you're staring is a master piece.

Billie: (smirk) smooth

Elaine: (smirk) just like me

Billie: (chuckle)

It was now the afternoon and I was sitting with Zara in the backyard watching Billie and Skylar play airplane. Billie was the airplane and Skylar was the passenger.

Zara: I'm so glad Skylar is okay

Elaine: me too, I missed all this the craziness that came with them.

Zara: I can imagine

Elaine: sometimes the house was so quiet I made me feel like I was in a mental institute.

Zara: (giggle) you really love them

Elaine: with my whole heart

Zara: I'm so happy that you found love, but who would've known you'd find love in a popstar

Elaine: (giggle) to think I didn't even know her

Zara: (giggle)

Elaine: I was thinking

Zara: yeah?

Elaine: I'm thinking of going on tour with Billie since I'll be here almost all the time, plus the last time I went on tour with her is when we were still dating.

Zara: I think that's a good idea, yeah you should do it

Elaine: plus she's going back on tour in a week's time

Zara: she'd love to be with her family

Elaine: yeah I guess
