10: whose corner are you in?

Elaine's POV

I broke down she tried to comfort me but I decided that I've had enough then ran to my room as I was running I heard her running after me but I got in my room and locked the door then sobbed. I really couldn't believe it. I was so hurt I never expected Billie to lie to me like this I mean the girl is bluntly honest. I felt so stupid I've been living with people I don't know as I thought I did for a month. Now all of these errands made sense. My thought were then disturbed by a knock on the door.

Elaine:(sobbing) go away

Billie: Elaine please open the door and let me explain

Elaine: go away

Billie: Elaine please

I just put my heard phones on and cry to Jessie Reyes.

Billie's POV

I've been begging Elaine to open the door for an hour now. I was now sitting down leaning against her door.

Billie: Elaine please open the door

She kept quite for a while then abruptly opens the door causing me to fall on the ground she looks at me with puffy red eyes. That's when I knew what I have done. I've hurt her when she's been nothing but honest with me and cared for me the real me.

Billie: Elaine I'm so sorry I never meant for you to find out this way

She doesn't say a thing but just lets out a bitter giggle

Elaine: just tell me who the fuck you are? Who are you?

She asks through gritted teeth

Billie: (sigh) Elaine I know I messed up but I have good reasons.

Elaine: were you ever gonna even tell me?

Billie: I was gonna tell you I swear. Elaine I didn't tell you who I was because I liked how you make me feel

Elaine: and how do I make you feel?

Billie: you make me feel normal you remind me that I'm just a girl with big dreams. A Californian girl whose just no different to any other girl in the world. You gave me back my sanity and kept me grounded.

She then let's out that bitter giggle of hers and looks at me in the eyes again but this time her eyes are full of hurt.

Elaine: yeah you're just like everyone else I've come across. I should've known you didn't take me in because of the goodness of your heart. You took me in because you saw a fool who can help you keep intact with your spiritual being. You were broken and you used me to fix yourself up. I thought you were different. I thought you genuinely cared about me but who was I fooling? Me yes I was fooling me because it was all about you it always has been about you.

Billie: Elaine I do genuinely care about you...

Elaine: no there's no need for you to lie to me again I'll be leaving first thing in the morning

After she said that she slammed the door in my face. I felt my heart clench at the thought of her leaving. I then decide to go to Finneas' room

Billie: Fin can I come in?

Fin: I'm kinda busy right now

Billie: Fin please I need your advice

Fin: okay gimme a sec....okay come in

I get in to see Fin writing on his notepad

Billie: writing a new song?
