Elaine's POV

Tomorrow it was Skylar's birthday and everyone was hands on. I was in my phone making the flower arrangements when I got a knock on my door. I opened the door and there stood Alex. I let her in and wrap up my conversation on my phone.

Elaine: okay please send me the email okay bye (end call)...hey Alex what are you doing here?

Alex: I need to talk to you

Elaine: about?

Alex: something really important

Elaine: you're scaring me

Alex: don't be

Elaine: okay should I get you water or juice?

Alex: no I'm fine

Elaine: okay sit

She sits down across me and stares at me.

Elaine: is everything okay between you and Layla?

Yes she has a girlfriend. When I ask her she just keeps quiet.

Elaine: Alex talk to me what's wrong?

Alex: Elaine I can't do this anymore, I can't be your friend

Elaine: what? You're ending our friendship?

Billie's POV

I just got back from the cake design and they said they'll deliver it early in the morning tomorrow. I get in and I hear Elaine talking to someone, Alex to be precise so I decide to eavesdrop. I know it's rude but I was curious to know what did she want from my wife.

Alex: ssh let me finish

She moves from the sofa she was in and sits next to Elaine and look her in the eyes. Now I didn't like this anymore but I had to keep my cool to know what's wrong so I just stand there and eavesdrop.

Elaine: okay

Alex: Elaine I love you I can't pretend anymore. I tried Elaine I really tried to stay away from you but everytime I see you my hear skips a beat.

Elaine: Alex I'm married and I love Billie.

Alex: I know I just love you okay? And I can't help it. You're so beautiful, kind and smart. You and I are meant to be, Billie doesn't deserve you

I could see how pissed Elaine was.

Elaine: no I won't sit hear and listen to you talk like that about my wife. I love Billie and that's it, get out of my house!

Alex: Elaine...

Elaine: get out!

Elaine's POV

I was so pissed I couldn't believe Alex, the audacity she has to tell me that my wife doesn't deserve me. I stood up and shouted for her to get out, the next thing I know is her lips against mine. I pushed her away and before I knew it Billie was already punching her. I pull Billie away from her.

Elaine: baby stop

She pushes me away and gets Alex out. She looks at me with disgust in her face, Billie and I have been together for almost a decade and in that period she as never given me this look. I try to talk but she signals for me to shut up.

Elaine: baby please

Billie: Elaine leave me the fuck alone!

Elaine: baby please let me explain

Billie: what do you wanna explain huh? What did I say about this Alex of yours huh? But no you're just too stubborn, you're miss genius so you're always right aren't you?

Elaine: Billie that's not fair

Billie: oh so it's fair for me to find my wife being kissed by another?

Elaine: (silence)

Billie: I told you that I didn't like Alex but what did you do? You went on and became friends with her right? Whenever I told you about it you made it sound like I'm trying to control you.

Elaine: Billie I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you

Billie: no Elaine tell me how can you be friends with someone who has feelings for you?

Elaine: (silence)

Billie: not only did she confirm it once but a several times but you still went ahead

Elaine: I don't have feelings for her okay! I only have feelings for you

Billie: really?

Elaine: what do you mean by really?

Billie: fuck this, I'm going out

Elaine: Billie....

With that said she left, I felt so bad about what happened. Partially I'm the one to blame for bringing this upon myself and I honestly don't blame Billie for being mad. I went to freshen up then made dinner, after I made dinner mom and Skylar got back from their shopping spree.

Skylar: mommie look what ouma got me

She had gotten her a soft pink princess dress.

Elaine: it's so beautiful, you'll look like a princess. Now go and bathe Hannah is waiting for you

She then hopped upstairs.

Sandra: what are you making?

Elaine: vegan ravioli

Sandra: (chuckle) so you're really vegan?

Elaine: you know what they say if you can't beat them join them

Sandra: (chuckle) where's Billie?

Elaine: she went out

Sandra: is everything okay between you two?

Elaine: yeah sure

I fake a smile even though mom and I both knew I was lying.
