Clarke P.O.V
I smoothed down my black, knee length dress, and wiped a stray tear. I looked at myself in the mirror, my eyes were puffy from crying and there were dark circles under my eyes. It had only been two days since the fire, but I haven't slept at all. I couldn't sleep, because every time I closed my eyes I saw Mt.Weather burn down, and I heard Thalia's screams. I slipped on my black flats, and put my hair into a side braid. I didn't bother putting on make up because it would just smear. My door cracked open.
"Sweetie are you ready?' My mother asked. I nodded than followed her downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs Bellamy, Octavia, Uncle Wallace, Cage, Monty, Jasper, and Charlotte waited all in black. Bellamy had his hair slicked back and wore a black t-shirt with black jeans. Monty and Jasper wore a similar outfit to Bellamy's while Cage and Uncle Wallace wore black suits. Charlotte and Octavia both wore long sleeve black dresses that reached their knees. Bellamy grabbed my hand as we walked to the cars. Octavia, Jasper, Monty, and me went into Bellamy's car. My mother, Charlotte, and Cage went with my Uncle Wallace. My mother was the one to carry the bag of Thalia's ashes. We weren't going to have a Wake or Funeral for her, because there was no body. What we were doing for her was more of a memorial service. Thalia had always been a free spirit and we wanted to do something to show that free spirit. We were driving to the highest point we could on the actual Mt.Weather, not the club. There we were going to release the ashes into the wind so that Thalia could roam free everywhere. The drive to the mountain was quiet. Bellamy kept a hand on the steering wheel, while the other one held mine. When we arrived Bellamy parked to the side of the road where there was a little dirt area. Every one got off. We all gathered at the side of the mountain. My mother held the bag with Thalia's ashes.
"Clarke, would you like to say something?"My mother asked. I nodded and stood in front of everyone. My mother handed me the cloth bag.
I cleared my throat."Thalia was always care free, and light hearted. She was fun, caring, and maybe the most creative person iv'e ever known." My voice caught in my throat. I hated how this speech sounded so generic, because Thalia was anything but average."You know what? I can't do this." They all looked at me."Thalia wasn't just that she was the most frankly amazing cousin in the world. She was a bad ass photographer and she was anything but normal." I saw Bellamy smile at this along with Octavia."If she was here right now she would probably nag at all of us or being sad." I continued."So instead of being sad let's show her that we do care about her and let her be free." They nodded. I turned to the mountain edge and slowly opened it up. My hands were shaking as I did this. I felt someone come up from behind me. It was Bellamy. He helped me finish open up the bag and together we released Thalia's ashes into the air. A slight breeze carried them away. Tears filled my eyes and I squeezed Bellamy's hand for support. He squeezed back and I didn't even have to look at him to know he was looking at me. We watched the ashes flow away until we were just staring into the distance. Once they had disappeared we had all quietly piled back into both cars. We all went back to my house, but on the way back I felt like I needed to go see Camilo. I didn't know why, but it was most likely because I had just lost someone and the possibility of loosing someone else close to me was still there. When we arrived at my house everyone gathered in the living room where they began to speak of Thalia. I pulled Bellamy away from the group to ask him if he could take me to see Camilo.
Bellamy seemed confused."Now?"
I nodded."Please, I just really feel like I need to go see if the test results turned up positive." He looked at me quizzically."Please I need something to distract me, please Bellamy."
