Ch. 15-The Masquerade

Clarke P.O.V
It's finally Friday, and I couldn't possibly be more excited. The concert would start at 5:30 pm and end at 6:45. That left us fifteen minutes to get ready before the Masquerade began. That was sure to be fun. I was in my room getting ready for the concert, when I received a text from a Bellamy. I laughed as I remembered how I labeled him in my phone.
Asshole- Need a ride to the concert?
Me-yes please!
Asshole-Okay Princess, Octavia and I'll be there in ten
Me-Thanks :)
I out down my phone and finished getting dressed. There was a beep outside and I knew it was Bellamy.
"Sup asshole." I said with a smile as I jumped in the back, next to Octavia.
"What did I do now?" He asked as Octavia giggled.
"Nothing, that's just how I labeled you in my phone." I answered. He looked offended.
"C'mon Bellamy, do you have me labeled as Clarke on your phone?"
He shook his head." I have you labeled as Princess."
"See, so we're even." I said and he rolled his eyes. We arrived at school just as Raven did. Octavia ran out of the car and almost tackled her. "Do you already put our stuff in the closet?" I asked.
She nodded."Yep, let's go." We all linked arms and walked to the quad were the concert would be held. Bellamy was trailing behind. When we saw Fox we waved her over.
"Hey guys, you as excited as I am for the ball?" She asked happily.
"Totally and the best part is that no one will now who anyone is!" Octavia said. We all took our places as the concert began.
"Welcome to the Arke High annual Halloween Concert." Mrs. Rose said to the crowd. I was nervous, but I knew no one would be necessarily watching me since I was in a group. That's what I loved about Choir, I could do one of the things I loved the most without a lot of eyes focused on just me. We began the concert with Michael Jackson's Thriller. We then sang Rihanna's Disturbia. After many Halloween theme songs we ended with Paramore's Decode. As the concert finished and we were dismissed, I grouped up with Octavia, Fox, and Raven.
"Okay we're all here let's go." Octavia said as we were hurrying to the girls locker room we heard Bellamy say." Where are you going?"
"To get ready for the dance." I answered turning to face him.
"Where?" He asked.
"None of your business." Octavia responded." See you at the dance." We turned back the way we were heading, and walked to the locker rooms, all four of us linked by arms.
When we arrived Raven immediately headed for the closet. We all quickly slipped our dresses on. Then we started on each other's hair. Octavia curled my hair and made a a crown of two braids. It was simple but elegant. Octavia put Raven's hair into a tight bun, and Foxes hair into a half pony tail with her ends a little wavy. Octavia's hair was loose, and styled to perfection. Then we did each others make up and nails rapidly since we only had five minutes left. My nail were navy blue with two gold parallel lines at top and one gold line crossing them. I wore a mask that matched my dress, a gold necklace, and gold leafy heels. We were finished at 7:10. As we walked through the school and towards the gym I felt more and more excited. I could already here the music. The gym was decorated so it had an old fashion type of feel. The lights were dimmed down so it was harder to tell who was who. The four of us entered and immediately I felt eyes on us, followed with whispers saying 'Who's that?' or 'Dang they're hot.' Many people were dancing and we were immediately approached by a group of guys. They asked us to dance and we agreed. It was fun just dancing with strangers. At the end of the second song I was tapped on the shoulder by someone. I turned to see a tall, muscular guy, with brown hair,wearing a black suit with a navy blue tie.The top part of his face was covered with a simple black black mask. "Wanna dance?" He yelled over the music.
"Sure." I yelled back. We danced for a long time, before a slow song came on. I put my hands around his neck and he put his around my waist and pulled me closer, and payed my head on his chest as we swayed to the music. When the slow song ended I was a little disappointed, that is until he pulled me outside the gym, and into the quad. No on was there, and everything had been cleaned up. Our quad was fairly large, and had patched of grass with trees. We sat on a bench under a tree.
" So what's your favorite color?" He asked curiously. His voice sounded oddly familiar.
" Midnight Blue, you? "
"Me too, favorite food?" He asked.
"Bacon Burgers." I answered.
"Really?"
I nodded. "What's yours?"
"Pepperoni pizza." He responded.
"Fears?" I asked.
"None." He spoke.
"Yeah right everyone has fears."
"Do you?" He asked leaning on close.
"Maybe." I said also leaning in so close our lips merely centimeters, daring him to close the gap. I licked my lips. Slowly we leaned in to each other, electricity ignited as our lips met. Soon enough my hands were tangled in his hair, and his were pulling me closer. He pulled me onto his lap not breaking the kiss. He tasted sweet like earth, sky, and honey rolled into one. Wow this was by far the most amazing kiss I'd we've had. We parted and he placed his hands on my neck and his forehead on mine. We were both breathing heavily.
"Who are you?" He breathed out.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I have an idea. We'll close our eyes and take of our own masks, when I say three we'll open our eyes." He suggested.
"Okay ." He closed his eyes and I closed mine. I moved to take off my mask, I was still very close to his face.
"One," He counted, I took off my mask,"two, three." My eyes opened and automatically met his brown ones.
"Bellamy?" I asked in shock.
"Princess?"
I stood up suddenly. "Oh no." I just made out with my best friends brother." I have to.."
I didn't finish my sentence as I turned to leave. Bellamy grabbed my hand and turned me towards him.
"Clarke please don't go." He pleaded. I didn't want to go, but I also needed to get my emotions in control and I couldn't, not with him here.
"Im sorry." I said and ran into towards the gym, to look for Octavia, Rave, and Fox.
Bellamy P.O.V
"Fuck!" I yelled as I covered my face with my hands. I sank to my knees and punched the grass in stupid anger. What do I do now? Moments ago she had been kissing me with so much intensity and now she was gone. I had to do something, but what? An idea creeped in my head as I sprinted towards the gym, hoping she was still there. I entered the gym and headed to the stage. I asked the Dj if he could stop the music and play a song I wanted to sing. He agreed and stopped the music and handed me the microphone."Hey guys I need your help I'm gonna sing a song," the crowd cheered already knowing my singing abilities." And I need you to help me find Clarke Griffin, is Clarke Griffin here?" Seconds later someone, more like three someone's yelled" Over here!"
"Spotlight please." I told the Dj. He motioned for a spotlight and soon enough a spotlight shone on Clarke. She stood still. "Princess this songs for you." I said looking at her. The music began, and I started to sing Save my Heart by Jason Reeves.

I would do anything to make my Princess like me. As soon as the song ended I felt someone wrap there arms around me. I hugged them back, then pulled away to kiss her.
My Princess was kissing me in front of everyone. We pulled away out of breath.
"Will you go out with me?" I breathed out.
"Yes!" She said and we were once again kissing. Octavia who was now next to us said,"Now there's something I never thought I'd see."
