Jimin and Yoongi were doing laundry together when Yoongi's phone rang.
He finished folding a clean shirt and looked at his phone.
His heart stopped.
"Oh my god, Jimin. It's the entertainment company." He held his hand over his mouth, like he was in shock. He knew they were going to call him, but the fact that they were actually calling him right this minute gave him no time to prepare. This is real.
Jimin looked at him for a second, frozen in place. "Go answer it!"
Yoongi nodded and answered.
"Hello?" He tried to sound as confident and calm as possible.
"Hello, is this Min Yoongi?"
"Yes, it is."
"Hi, this is Mr. Lee calling from K-Entertainment company. With careful consideration after your interview and viewing your application, I'd like to offer you a co-producer position if you're still interested in it."
"Wow, thank you so much. Yes, yes, I'm absolutely still interested in it!"
Jimin smiled, he couldn't hear the other end of the phone, but he assumed it was good news.
"Excellent, can you come in next Monday to get you started?"
Yoongi couldn't believe it. He was amazed he was able to understand and follow everything Mr. Lee was saying about bringing all his documents so they can get him set up on payroll and everything. He was so happy. He didn't have to work at Starbucks any more. And with him graduating next month, he was able to take on the position full time like he wanted.
He hung up.
"I got the job." He looked at Jimin.
Jimin started tearing up and slammed into him.
"Oh baby, I'm so happy for you! I knew you would." They shared a long, passionate kiss.
"Thank you for all your support. Between my dad and this-"
"You don't have to thank me, love. I'm with you every step of the way, whenever and however you need me." Jimin held onto Yoongi's waist and looked into his eyes.
God, Yoongi loved him so fucking much. He knew, just knew, that he'd never be able to love another human being the way that he loved Jimin and he couldn't imagine his life without him in it. He didn't want to. He didn't have to. This job would be the start of providing them with a good, better life. The life that Jimin always deserved.
"Let me call my mom, real quick, okay?"
"Take your time." Jimin urged and went back to folding the laundry. Yoongi left the laundry station to go into the living room.
Yoongi's mom was ecstatic, as expected. She couldn't be prouder of her son. She would be proud of him no matter what, but he never gave up on his dreams and worked hard to get where he wanted to be. His dad was just as proud. It was an emotional phone call.
When he was done, he went back to Jimin.
Jimin tossed the shirt he was folding onto the pile of already folded clothes, not caring about the pile.
