Jimin's heart started racing. He had completely forgotten about his exam as his professor took forever to actually grade it.

He had such a nice time at Yoongi's and this would surely alter his mood drastically.

He cautiously opened his email and read through the entirety of it. He was terrified, yet hopeful.

He finally got to his grade, a 79%.

He thought his heart was going to beat out of his chest. It wasn't the worst grade he could've gotten, but definitely not acceptable in his father's eyes. How was he going to tell him? He would be furious.

He wanted to cry. His entire night was ruined and all he could think about was how he was going to tell his father. He couldn't not tell him, he would keep pestering Jimin until he told him. And it's better he finds out sooner than later. Maybe he would tell both of his parents at dinner. That was his best option. His father usually goes up to his office right after dinner so hopefully he would scold Jimin then go right up to his office and not speak to him for the rest of the night.

Part of Jimin was surprised and the other part wasn't shocked at all. He studied a lot, but he was severely  distracted by Taehyung.

He threw his phone down and closed his eyes out of frustration.

How could he let Taehyung distract him that much? He was stupid, so stupid to let this happened. He didn't really care about school, he just wanted to get good grades to please his father.

He lets out a deep breath and opens his eyes again.

He wanted to go to bed as he was exhausted, but he didn't want to make time go by any faster so he would have to break the news to his parents.

After hours of tossing and turning and worrying, he finally fell asleep, if the interval of time that his eyes were closed even counted as sleep.

It was the time that Jimin had dreaded. It was dinner time with his parents. As if eating meals with his parents wasn't stressful enough, this just made things worse.

He meticulously set the table and followed every order given to him by his mother, as per usual.

His mom made steak and tomato and cucumber salad, which wasn't that bad but not that healthy either. Jimin loved the tomato and cucumber salad. Well, he used to love it. Now, not so much as the healthy vegetables are drowned in Italian dressing.

Once sat at the table, he took a little more food than usual. He didn't know how he was actually going to let himself eat all of it, but he hoped it would ease his parents a little bit.

It was mostly silent, that is, until his father brought up the burning question.

"Did you get your grade back for your exam yet, Jimin?" His father asked after he shoved a forkful of steak into his mouth.

His heartbeat picked up pace. He didn't have an excuse. He studied, in fact he studied a lot. Well, it seemed like a lot to his parents. He went over Yoongi's quite often to study, but he didn't always end up studying. He didn't know what to tell them.

His father looked at Jimin above his glasses, awaiting a response.

Jimin had to say something. Just get it over with.
