Jimin didn't think time could go by any slower in class. He was lost. He couldn't even comprehend what the professor was lecturing about to save his life. He just wanted to get home and get ready to go to Taehyung's house.

But he was also dreading going home. He has to eat dinner with his parents.

He hasn't eaten that many meals with them recently because he's been at Yoongi's or Taehyung's and he's been telling his parents he's been eating. But tonight his mom said she wants him to eat dinner with them.

He wasn't going over Taehyung's until around 9:00 PM anyway to ensure his roommates were asleep by the time he got there, but he still didn't want to eat with his parents.

What seemed like an eternity later, Jimin heard the rustling of notebooks and backpacks, signaling the end of class. As soon as the professor stopped talking and dismissed them, Jimin ran out the door and made his way home.

It was still fairly early so he figured he could take a shower before dinner.

When he walked through the door, he was greeted by his mother in the living room.

"Hi honey," she called.

"Hi mom." Jimin kicked his shoes off and walked into the living room so his mom could see him.

"What time are you going over your friend's house?" She asked. She was sitting on the couch with a blanket spread out on her body with a book in her hand.

"Probably around 9:00. He said he had some errands to run after class but he and his friend wanted to hang out and sleepover."

"Okay. I'm glad you're making friends." She smiled at him.

"Thanks. I'm gonna go take a shower before dinner."

"Okay. I'll let you know when it's almost ready." Jimin nodded and went upstairs.

He peeked into his father's office to see if he was in there, which he was.

"Hi dad."

His father swiveled around in his office chair to meet Jimin's eyes.

"Hi son." He said monotoned.

"I already told mom that I'm going over my friend's house later."

His father just nodded.

"I'm gonna take a shower. I'll see you at dinner."

"Yes you will." His father said then turned back around to get back to work.

Jimin abandon the office and his clearly uninterested father.

Once he got to his room he shut the door and leaned up against it. He took a deep breath, needing to calm down his nerves. His father made him extremely anxious sometimes.

Especially since he was lying right to his face. It really is Jimin's fault, he is indeed the one that's lying. But regardless of where he was going or who he was hanging out with, he still gave Jimin anxiety.

He pretty much always had this deep rooted fear of his father finding out about what he was doing. He lied to him for years, mostly about his whereabouts when he was with Taehyung, and only got caught once. He was very thankful and didn't want to jinx it. But he doesn't want to do anything to make his father angry. He has never physically punished Jimin or his brother, but his words hurt more than physical pain ever could. Between being called a "disappointment to the family" amongst other  hurtful and derogatory terms and him saying that Jimin's sexuality was "just a phase" and not to "parade his sexuality for people who don't want to see it," he's hurt Jimin multiple times. Things have been okay for a while, having minimal and civil conversations with him. Jimin wouldn't mind keeping it that way. He doesn't want to think about what he would say or do if his dad caught him sneaking around with a boy. Or worse, if he caught him sneaking around with the same boy he caught him sneaking around with a while back when Jimin and Taehyung were together.
