Yoongi buttoned his dress shirt with fumbling fingers. He was anxious.

Tonight was the night. Yoongi was going to ask Jimin to be his boyfriend tonight. He was confident but was still nervous. It had been one hell of a week.

Ever since Jimin's breakdown, Yoongi has been checking in every single day to make sure he was okay and still confident in his decision. He wanted to be in a relationship, but not if Jimin's mental health was compromised in the process. However, Jimin assured him multiple times that he was sure and that he was okay. Jimin said his episode wasn't really out of the ordinary for him and for Yoongi to expect those from time to time. Yoongi said he would be ready.

The last time he was with Jimin was just two nights ago when they both went to Yoongi's parents house. Yoongi had already planned their date and made a reservation for the restaurant where they had their first real date at. He didn't explicitly tell Jimin his plans for tonight, but he figured Jimin might have an idea. He didn't care. Both of them knew it was going to happen soon so it wasn't really a surprise that it was going to happen tonight. He wanted to do something special and romantic for Jimin so he figured taking him back to the place where they had their first real date would be perfect. Yoongi also had another surprise for Jimin that he was confident Jimin knew nothing about.

Yoongi studied himself in the mirror. He wore a white button shirt with little, blue sailboats over it, in which he borrowed from Hoseok; black jeans; and white and blue Sperry shoes.

He couldn't help but be nervous. He wasn't nervous if Jimin was going to say yes or not, it was more so Yoongi thinking about the fact that they would be opening a new chapter in their lives. They would be in an actual, romantic relationship. This was something they both have wanted for so long and it was finally happening. The label doesn't change how they feel about each other, it's just crazy to think that they will officially be boyfriends.

He stood still looking at himself for a moment, taking a few deep breaths.

He had to leave soon to pick up Jimin. He was at Jungkook's house right now and the plan was for Yoongi to pick him up at Jungkook's house and Jimin would leave his car there overnight so he can spend the night at Yoongi's. Yoongi wanted to do the whole, old fashioned picking up his date ordeal, but he never could because of Jimin's parents and all that, so he'll take what he can get; he's okay with picking Jimin up from Jungkook's house.

He straightened his already smooth shirt one more time before slipping on a light jacket and heading for the door. Before leaving, he slipped the little red box with Jimin's surprise in it in the inside pocket of his jacket.

He got his keys and left the apartment, locking it in the process.

He put Jungkook's address into his GPS and made his way to his house.

When he got there, he texted Jimin saying he was here. He then got out of the car and walked to the passenger side so he would be ready to open the door for Jimin.
