"Mom, why don't you sit down and let me do this?" Yoongi insisted, pointing to the bowl of food that his mom was about to put in the microwave.

"Nonsense. You're still my little boy and feeding you dinner is my right as a mother!" She motioned for him to sit down at the table so she could do it for him. "Now how was your week, sweetie?"

His mom had come over to bring him leftover food. She always makes extra food when cooking for herself and his father so she can bring Yoongi some. Yoongi can provide for himself, but he knows that no matter what, he will always have a meal. He was very grateful for that. She comes a few times a week and he always loves whenever she does. She's not far away at all, but he absolutely loves spending him with her that it's always a joy.

He gives in, as per usual and sits down.

"Actually, mom." He started to say and scratched the back of his neck, getting nervous. "A lot happened this week. And kinda before that too."

He was going to tell his mother that he went on a date with Jimin and if it wasn't obvious, that he liked him. He was going to tell her regardless, but she asked so now is the perfect time. He was a little nervous. He knew she would love him no matter what and wouldn't really make a big deal out of it, but it was a lot coming to terms with it himself.

His mom came waltzing to the table with the bowl of heated up pasta and a can of soda, putting it down in front of Yoongi. Yoongi thanked her.

"Is everything okay, honey?" She sat across from Yoongi, her facial expression slightly concerned.

"Yeah. But, um. It's about Jimin."

"He's such a sweetheart. Is he alright?" The motherly instinct was kicking in.

"Yeah, he's great. But I uh." Yoongi picked up his fork and played with the food in the bowl for a second before answering his mom. "I like him, mom." He looked up at her and her eyebrows rose a little bit to signal she was listening and for him to go on so she can get a little more information out of him. "We kinda, sorta went out on a date and I, uh... I really, really like him, mom. More than a friend." He looked at her and waited for an answer. That was it. It was finally out. He told his mother and there was no coming back from that. But he had to tell her.

When she was sure he was done speaking, she smiled.

"Honey, I know." She shook her head up and down.

"Wait, what do you mean, you know?" Yoongi asked, shocked.

"Yoongi, I'm your mother. I know. Just the way you spoke about him, I never wanted to say anything and get into your business, but I knew." She crossed her arms.

Yoongi sighed out in relief. It wasn't that he expected her to react in a negative way, he was just relieved that it was finally off of his chest.

"So, how was the date?" She asked, genuinely interested.

"It was, really nice actually." Now that Yoongi could breathe and he wasn't so nervous, he started eating his food. "We went to this little coffee shop in town and just talked and stuff. It was really, really nice." Yoongi smiled.

"Well that sounds lovely." His mother smiled back, happy for him. "So how did this come about? You've known him for a bit and insisted you were just friends. How did this date happen?"
