Meeting with the free States
The Free states are nothing special just a bunch of cowards who claim to be pacifists while watching their own kind die. But there home is breath taking. Unlike the golden city where they have artificial towers aspiring above you. When I first arrived I wondered how they safe from the ever observing eyes of the emperor and I soon got my answer. They lived in place where planet life was excessive so a small hole with a white milky dome protecting it wouldn't really stand out. The hole was big enough that four people could swim side by side without any problems. It led down for couple dozen feet before opening into a vast underground burrow. I was immediately met with a dazzling amount of color. Glowing fungus, glowing mushrooms, vibrant sea weed, dozens and dozens of pillars supporting the roof was adorned with barnacles showing variant of colors. Schools of different kinds of fish swam around. The people built there homes into the walls causing the walls to look like hexagons like a grid endlessly expanding up and down eat wall. Apparently this was the old resident district, following another tunnel down I was met with another massive open space with a equally large barnacle extending outward in every direction. The barnacle covered in fungus, moss, mushroom, seaweed, shells, smaller fish all making this towering tree like barnacle its home. Apon further inspection it seemed the people had built inside the massive barnacle and made extending attachments to it. Going deeper below now the space was smaller than the others and only had one singular building. The building was not like the others it was more artificial with long straight edges and artificial lighting. It was pyramid shaped and when I approached its entrance It opened on it's own. It seemed to made of glass with blue veins streaking across it. I recognize this being similar to the temple I acquired the sword. My escort didn't follow me in, after moving past the entrance and a number of corridors I was met with a strange sight. A little girl alone in a dark room. She wasn't a noble or one of the common folk. She seemed like she wasn't even from our planet. Her skin was dark but had a smooth and polished appearance, her green eyes gleamed, she had dirty white hair, she was small probably at least 7 or 8. She wore loose white dress, it then that I noticed that I wasn't in water here. I guess I was distracted and didn't even notice that I was breathing air. I looked closer and saw that she had no gills or any features like us. She had two horns that curled into a circle barley touching each other. Her horns were a deep red and she sat in a throne made of rock which oddly stood out when everything else was almost glass like. The throne has intricate carvings and symbols.
"Your the leader?" Stella says
"Yes. I am."
The child's voice was soft but had a demanding presence.
"I have come in Hope's of a Alliance. But now I am more interested in who and what you are." Stella says
"Hm...I am Ala the leader of the free states. As you can see I am not an a Drow but I do lead them." Ala says
"Its been so long since anyone's said the name of native species here that I had forgotten the name. Thank you." Stella says
"I do not have time for idle chit chat so why should we help you?" Ala says
Stella closes her eyes transforms back into her original form. Ala's eyes widen but before she can speak the bulb hanging from Stella's head lights up putting her in a suggestive state.
"By helping defeat the emperor you eliminate the power the threatens your way of life." Stella says softly
"The...emperor does not know of us...why would he be a threat?" Ala says groggily
"After all the rebels are dead who do you think will serve them? They are not going to serve themselves. So of course his gaze will fall to you, so before that happens why not help me...help you." Stella says smiling
