Catra walks through the Flag ship newly dubbed the Rising Dawn. As she walks through the corridors she reachs parts of the ship that are still mangled with vines and wood. She then sees Perfuma.
"Hey Perfuma you got a second?" Catra says knocking on the wall next to her.
"Oh catra! What are you doing all the way up here?" Perfuma says enthusiastically but with a hint of weariness in her voice.
"To much on my mind and thought what better way to clear it than to meditate. But I've never done it before so I thought maybe I could learn from the best." Catra says with small smile.
"Of course! Follow me I know the best spot for relaxing meditation." Perfuma says excitedly grabbing catra by the hand and leading her to the upper floors.
They walk to the upper floors, Perfuma turns a corner and opens a door. As they walk in they are met large room with a King sized bed, paired with lock full of uniforms, with a large open window shaped like a hexagon. The titanium colored walls paired with the bright blue First ones engravings.
"Whoa what's this? Your room?" Catra asks feeling the room out.
"Nope! It's yours! The commander's quarters. Now sit down here." Perfuma says sitting by the window.
Catra smiles and sits down opposite of Perfuma.
Thank you for securing me a room. Now then how do I do this?" Catra questions.
"Okay, Catra close your eyes and think of all the negative thoughts you have gathered. Don't not reject them but instead let all those emotions flow through you like a river." Perfuma says calmly.
Catra thinks back. On the recent battle, the images of so many bodies, the images of her battle with the Aragon. The last message his leader sent, adora leaving, horde prime, the war, herself being chipped, hurting Entrapta and Scorpia, shadow weaver, the abusive childhood she had.
Feeling the sorrow, the anger, and the regret. Fills her chest and the pain is so unbearable. No longer being able to withstand the pain she tries to bury it once more.
"Don't reject the pain. Accept that it's a part of you. Accept that it's in the past, accept that you survived these trials and move on. You cannot cling to past forever. Let them go like the storms in fright zone. The storms rage and spew lighting but just as quickly dissolves." Perfuma says
"I...can't...it hurts....too much!" Catra says her voice pained.
"Yes you can, remember all the love, and happiness that has happened since then. Remember the people that has made you feel this way." Perfuma says holding Catra's hand.
Catra remembers the small moments in her childhood with Adora, the moments of fun she had with scopria and Entrapta when she was with the horde, the feeling of reuniting with Adora on horde primes ship, Entrapta and Scopria forgiving her, and the feeling of loving Adora.
The pain in her chest subsides and is replaced with a warm and calmly sensation.
She feels arms wrap around her and embrace her, she knows this feeling of warth and security. She swears she can hear the voice whisper "let them go".With a soft smile Catra clears her head. All the pain is washed away and all that's left clarity.
"Thank you Perfuma, this has been helpful." Catra says opening her eyes.
"No, I should thank you it's been a while since I've had someone to meditate with." Perfuma says with a smile.
"Scorpia doesn't join you?" Catra asks.
"No, she tried in the beginning but she just can't sit still and focus. I guess to her helping other people is her mediation." Perfuma says.
"I can see that, we should talk more. I know I've been busy with work but talking to you was really enlightening." Catra says getting up and staring out at etheria.
"I'm sure once we win this war we can hang out all we want after." Perfuma says standing by Catra.
"Yeah after the war...I really miss her Perfuma. Why couldn't she have just waited a few more years, I've accepted that she's gone but I still...miss her." Catra says gazing longing at the stars.
"She did what she thought was right, even some might disagree." She says her voice tensing.
"You don't agree with her?" Catra says surprised.
"I think that Adora, glimmer and bow left a bit prematurely." Perfuma says trailing off.
"You don't need to hold yourself back. As a wise princess once said "let your emotions go"." Carta says with a smirk.
"Turning my own words against me haha, I just think they shouldn't have left etheria to help another planet until they stabilized there own." Perfuma says with a huff.
"Haha is that you upset? Honestly I didn't think anyone else was upset by Adora leaving." Catra says chuckling
"Hey! I can mad to you know! Its just... I think it's a bit unfair they left everything up to you." She says as Catra playfully hits her with her tail.
"They left yes but I chose this path, even without the help of she-ra I will defeat our enemies, I will defend etheria at any cost." Catra says place her hand of the glass over etheria.
"Its that kind of attitude that makes us follow you know." Perfuma says
"Please, anyone can do my job." Catra says quietly
"No, that's not true. Before you came along we were content with stabilizing our own kingdoms. Because as long as she was here we believed we believed everything would be fine. But when she left and we were attacked none us knew what to do. Again we were naive and belived she-ra would protect us. But she wasn't there, so you stepped up and won. We all have faith that we'll win this battle not because of some strategy or army but because we believe in you." Perfuma says using her power to give Catra a flower.
Catras eyes widen as she listens, without her knowing tears begin falling down her cheeks. Perfuma turns back to see thin lines of tears, eyes glossy.
"Catra!? You okay oh no do you have allergies!?" Perfuma panics
"No haha no I just never knew how much I needed to hear something like that. Thank you so much." Catra says
Tears still falling down her face she smells the flower and looks at Perfuma with a genuine smile.
