For as long as I can remember I've only ever saw darkness. But you can say I was lucky to born in the shark clan who's vision can see through darkness. That said because we could see in the dark it's all we ever saw. In the mines my role was mining that's all. I would wake up mine until they told us to sleep then wake up and mine again.  For sixteen years I've done this. I was considered the leader of our group, which didn't mean anything other than I was the oldest. But i decided to protect my group, i took any punishment they were supposed to get, gave up my food for the younger generations. Only recently I had been hearing rumors of rebellion. Some of my peers burned with anticipation for when the day would finally come. But me? I shrugged it off, after all anything outside this mine didn't matter to me. But what i was naive, the bubble of peace I built was never truly mine. It was simply allowed to exist well until nobles saw fit to take the family I had built. For the first time I did retaliated against them! I fought hard but in the end failed. Rather than kill me they sent me to deepest depths of the mine. It was deep that the sun could not pierce its darkness. It was called the abyss because all hope ended once in its depths. It didn't matter if I mined or not, I asked the residents here why they have not skimmed to the surface in attempt of freedom and they had said many had tried but any who dare try to raise get shot down before reaching the surface. I had thought all was lost and so I stopped keeping track of the days.

But then a miracle happened, for the first time in who knows how long. I saw light, its brilliance shined and enveloped the warrior that seemed to fall. The next instance the warrior shattered the ground beneath her, she raised her sword up and shouted "it's time to fight! Raise once more and take back your lives." Her words meant nothing at first but that was when all of us saw the scraps of bots crash next her. She looked to me and said "all of you have the same eyes. The eyes of people who have given up their lives. Since that's the case why not give your lives to me instead of letting them rot here."

This moment changed my life. My my name is Ronin of the shark clan, and I swear myself to this warrior.

----

I had heard of the mines deplorable conditions but this is almost to much.

Stella looked around as she swam downward destroying any bots she saw along the way. As did she noticed that the plan had succeeded and the slaves have taken up arms and are overwhelming the bots. Although the bots are both superior in armor and fire power, the slaves are great in number. Although it hurts to see so many die even I can see that their smiling. I don't know who she-ra is but just from the looks on their faces I can see that she brings hope wherever she goes and maybe that's enough.

Stella focused the surge energy she felt into blade, she used her enhanced strength to propel herself forward slamming into the ground. A member of the shark clan? Red skin? how rare...his eyes it seems theirs still hope for him.

"all of you have the same eyes. The eyes of people who have given up their lives. Since that's the case why not give your lives to me instead of letting them rot here." Stella says extending her hand towards Ronin.

"Do you swear to save the children," Ronin says on his knees staring at her hand.

"i swear to the salvation of all of your kind. Everything has already been taken care of all you need to do is fight!" Stella commands as she raises her sword in the air and fires multiple shots destroying the pursuing bots swimming down after her.

The slaves roar as they follow Stella upwards, as they swim stella notices a couple dozen bots opening fire on them. Stella roars as she cuts the air sending a wave of magical energy towards the frontline of bots. Stella hears a scream causing her look back to see the new rebels being gunned down as they desperately try to close the distance. Stella grits her teeth.
