Unity Day Part- Three

Catra let's out a soft groan as she stretches, looking around the room she quietly gathers her clothes then makes her way to the balcony.

"What a beautiful night." Catra says star stuck as the gossamer sky illuminates the city.

"Have you calmed down?" Alpha says in Catra's mind.

"Yes. I know you'd say I'd regret this but I don't. I think I needed it, like some sort of final goodbye. I know where Adora died, I know she's dead, and as for revenge..." Catra says staring distantly

"Are you really willing to give it up?" Alpha says curiously

"For merry? Absolutely. I'd give up evrything if it meant she was safe. She's my legacy...she's everything I should have had." Catra says warmly.

Catra's ears flicker picking up on distant noise.

"What are those kids doing?" Catra says gesturing to Miranda and her friends knocking out Palace gaurds.

"They've been trying to enter the ball room for a while now. I've been keeping them at bay but Odessa is...learning faster than anticipated. It's truly terrifying." Alpha says staring at Odessa in the distance.

With the echoes of celebration ringing throughout brightmoon palace. Four shadows slip into shadow after shadow until they reach the outer perimeter of the palace. One peeks around a corner to see two etherian guards protecting the entrance.

"Its just two of them. We can take them." Aella says wearing a white jacket with stars on it.

"Should I stab them?" Flora says tilting her head.

"I'll strangle the other with my hair." Odessa says taking an attack stance.

"What is wrong with you guys!? Why does you're minds go instantly to murder???" Miranda says in a hushed screaming tone.

"Death is the natural cycle isn't it? I mean that's what my mom said." Flora says

"I'm sure she meant for plants! Living being are different! Especially if there our own people." Miranda says

Flora tilts her head in confusion before lowering her stinger.

"So no attacking?" Aella says

"Oh my god...they're all psycho's!" Miranda says face palming.

"Mother has always said as long as I collect valuable data then any actions I take can be pardoned." Odessa says

"No killing! Odessa I'm not even going to start with you're morally grey family. Okay new plan Odessa locate the nearest vent." Miranda says rubbing her temple.

Odessa nods pulling out small dragonfly looking bots.

"Find a vent big enough for our entrance." She whispers to them.

"Flora! Stop getting distracted." Miranda says watching Flora wander off trying to catch a blut winged butterfly.

"It looked so pretty tho." Flora says walking back to them.

"Entrance found Miranda. My bots have opened the grate." Odessa says

"Awesome! I'll race you there!" Aella says creating slow gusts of wind to push each of the feet forward.

"Not so loud! This us a stealth mission!" Miranda says grabbing her hair in frustration.

"Shhh you're being loud." Flora says flatly.

"Flora...I will destroy you." Miranda says storming after Aella.

Flora giggles

"I thought you're attempt at comedic humor was acceptable." Odessa says using one of her hair tendrils to touch her shoulder.

They arrive and enter the vent one by one.

"Odessa which way is the ball? Its maze in here." Miranda says

Odessa presses a button on her data causing it melt into tiny nanomahcines which form goggles that she places on her face.

"There should be a exit to you're right then we'll take a left. It should drop us into a guest room." Odessa says

"I think I see it whoa-" Miranda says as she fall through the vent and onto the floor.

Flora jump out the vent causing her to fall onto Miranda. Miranda let's out a groan as she holds her stomach.

"Me too!" Aella says jumping down followed by Odessa.

Miranda panics quickly creating a barrier of water between them. Aella reacts pushing away from the water with a gust while Odessa suspends herself in the air with her hair grappling to the corners. Miranda clicks her tongue in disappointment before standing up.

"Now where too?" Aella says impatiently walking over to the exit.

"Okay here's the plan, we move in stealthily, steal some of delicious food their hording and escape with no one the wiser." Miranda says

"Mom said we shouldn't steal, that nature can give us everything we need." Flora says blooming a spider Lilly in her hand.

"Yea, I'm not eating you're poisonous flower, sorry but nature doesn't fill my stomach!" Aella says

"I got an idea how about all you kids go back to you're rooms." Alpha says his form being projected from a nearby security camera.

"Crap! Run!" Miranda says as she bolts for the door.

Moments later the door disappears along with the vent.

"Do something Odessa!" Aella says panicking

"I surrender!" Flora says shakily putting her hands up.

Odessa quickly taps her datapad, Alpha attempts to move but flashes red before disappearing.

"She's gone?" Miranda says

"No. She'll be back so we should leave while we can." Odessa says keying in a code that makes one of the walls shimmer before forming into an exit outside.

"Were supposed to go inside!" Miranda says

"Alpha has blocked my access, it'll take more time than we have to break through." Odessa says

"Whatever we'll find another way in!" Aella says running outside.

Miranda follows Aella around the corner but is surprised when she notices Aella stop dead in her tracks. Miranda barley stops in time before hitting Aella. Flora and Odessa however were to late and all crash into each other.

"What's the big idea? stopping like that out of nowhere." Miranda says wiggling her way  out of the pile of her friends.

"Alpha totally snitched!" Aella says shakily pointing at Catra in front of them with a smirk.

"Acutally I saw you assaulting Palace gaurds and thought I should say hello." Catra says placing her hand on Aella's head.

Aella shakily swallows the lump in her throat before Catra smiles while rustling her short white hair.

"That was well executed for kids. Next time make sure to wait till the clouds cover the moon so you're not seen." Catra says pointing at the moon.

"You're not angry?" Flora says looking down at her feet.

"Please, me and Adora got in way more trouble than this when we were kids." Catra says

Their eyes widen in surprise before Miranda timidly walks forward.

"Can you tell us about her? Whenever we ask our parents they just talk about something else. Or they look just look very sad." Miranda says

Catra's eyes widen before she smiles while gently flicking her forehead.

"Of course, let's go sit in the court yard. I'll tell you some stories." Catra says
