Deep Below Part- One

"What your saying is that you know about this sea creature?" Catra says

"Yes it was here long before the my creators transformed the planet. When it found out what they were trying to do it lashed out and tried to consume everything. So they sealed it away. But I guessing the seal was undone when the Heart was open." Atlas says

"But Mermista said she heard it say that she wasn't like the others. That implies it was awake before the heart ever opened." Catra says

"Just because they sealed away the body doesn't mean they sealed away its mind. Its probably beckoned all those who were connected to Poseidon. Always trying to free itself by tempting them." Atlas says

"That's terrifying-" Catra says

As Catra speaks she's interrupted by Mermista shouting from the water.

"Catra are we doing this or what?"

"Yeah just steeling my nerves." Catra says walking over to Mermista.

Catra approaches the ocean and as she does a small wave hits her bare feet. Almost immediately she jumps back.

"You know on second thought you got this. 100% believe in you." Catra says laughing nervously

"Come on you scaredy cat." A voice says

Catra turns to see the source of the voice but is met by a white net forcing her to the ground. Before she can react a wave touches her back. She tries to shrink away but is unable to escape from the net. As she struggles she see's Netossa dragging her into the ocean.

"Ieeee no! Netossa what! Stop!" Catra says squirming

"Better activate your helmet if you don't want to drown." Netossa says with a evil smirk

Catra's eyes widen as Netossa press a button and a clear helmet covers her face and she dives down dragging Catra with her down with her. Catra quickly presses a button her prosthetic arm and a clear dome covers her head. Eventually Catra gives up and let's herself be taken deeper in. After some time she's released

"So anyone going to tell me why I was kidnapped?" Catra says taking deep breaths

"We both know it would have taken you forever to go in, so I just speed up the process." Netossa says laughing

"Gah not even I was just about to jump in when your stupid net caught me." Catra snaps back.

"If that's the case then it doesn't really matter how you ended up in the water right." Netossa says

"It absolutely matters! What if I drowned when I was caught in your net!" Catra says

"I'm pretty sure when you fell you were still technically on the beach. If you drowned then I'd say you probably deserved it." Netossa says laughing

"Come on you two it's this way." Mermista says swimming deeper down.

"Now that I'm not being kidnapped, why are you here Netossa?" Catra says confused.

"Well  I happen to over hear you two talking about beating up some underwater monster so asked Mermista If I could go. I figured I'd be able to help more than you could have." Netossa says with a grin

"Huh? What are you talking about? You? More useful than me? In what world." Catra scoffs

"Let's see were fighting underwater and you hate water, your main source of magic is electricity. Doesn't take a genius to figure out  if you use your abilities were all fried." Netossa says

"Hm see your point. But it seems You forgot that I have this!"

Catra shouts as she stretches her hand in front of her and creates a magic sigil. Seconds later a wave of force gently hits Netossa and Mermista's back. Catra stares with a smug smile

"A wave cool....please tell me that's not all." Mermista says

"Of course not! What you expect me to use my magic at full strength towards my friends." Catra says letting out sigh

"Didn't stop you in the past." Mermista snipes back

"Huh?" Catra says stopping her descent in shock.

"Ah I didnt mean to say that. I-" Mermista spins around her eyes wide with shock.

"Its fine. Your on edge." Catra says with a small smile as she swims on ahead.

"I honestly didn't mean to say that." Mermista says

"She knows, your exhausted with worry for Seahawk. She knows that better than anyone else." Netossa says with sympathetic eyes.

"Its just he's not waking up! He should have woke up months ago! God why won't he open his stupid eyes." Mermista says choking on her words.

"Hey I'm not the smartest but you got Entrapta literally the smartest person on Etheria working on waking him up. Plus you got Catra who given us a lead on why he isn't waking up. I don't know about you but I like those odds." Netossa says giving Mermista a hug.

"Hey I know I went on ahead but I have no idea where I'm going." Catra says swimming back to them.

"Catra could you tell me again why you think that creature might help Seahawk." Mermista says interrupting Catra.

"Hey don't misinterpret my words, I never said it will help. When I went into the mind space with you on my way out I felt another presence besides the creatures. And when I tried to wake up Seahawk by shocking him I felt trace elements of your runestone connected to him." Catra says

"But there's a chance." Mermista says

"Yes there's a chance." Catra says letting out a sigh

"Hey Catra isn't that another person in a coma as well. Why didnt you wake her up by shocking her?" Netossa says

"Huh oh you mean Lonnie, unlike Seahawk she's in medically induced coma. She's taken too much internal damage to her brain. If she were to wake up she'd go insane from the pain and probably die afterwards too. I've done everything I can do for her." Catra says

"Her friends think your letting be like this because you hate her." Netossa says

"I don't hate her, I may not like her but I wouldn't hurt her like this." Catra says

"Stop. Were here...I can feel it. It knows were here and its waiting for us." Mermista says

"Let's not keep it waiting then" Catra says grinning
