Ever since he awoke a sense of self the emotion called fear never took root in his heart. Of course Kal knew that there were being that were stronger than him but he had always been able to imagine himself winning against them in time. In fact those are the only memories he was able to clearly remember. Even when he was beaten by Catra he knew she wasn't serious. It made him angry not because he thought she was thinking light of him, but because he knew he could never make her fight him seriously. Or at least that's what he felt, so when she offered to give him a job he accepted. Not because he was loyal to her but because he wanted fight her again. He wanted watch her and figure out how to best her. To his surprise her biggest weakness was that child she cared for. So when he reported back to her that the child died. You can imagine his surprise to find himself backing away.
In fact he felt as if his entire body was rebelling against him. He felt his blood run cold, his body relentlessly trembling, he honestly didn't know what this feeling was until he looked up. His face turned pale while he fell to his knees. He knew those eyes extremely well, it was same eyes he had when hunting down his prey. He felt is surroundings melt away, before he knew it all he could see was her piercing animalistic gaze. Deep within his heart he knew this was the primal instinct all living creatures had...fear.
The fear of death. In these moments he realized he was going to die. He tried to move but his body still betrayed him, he realized in horror that there was no magic being used. It was simply her killing intent that paralyzed him. Even when her claws hovered over his eyes he still could not move a muscle.
"I...i... please don't kill me!"
He pleaded or at least that's what he wanted to say but no words came out.
"The only reason I spared you was so that Merry could protected. To think you couldn't even do that. Pathetic. Worthless insects like you should just disappear."
Catra says her words colder than anything Frosta could produce. Her eyes no longer showing rage. She merely stares at him like one would a insect who is about to crushed.
"Catra! That's enough." Perfuma says as a vine wraps around her arm.
Instantly his vision returns to normal now snapped out of his daze. It's now that he realizes that he's been holding his breath. He scans the room quickly to see Lionett in a similar state as him.
"Perfuma let go or I'll kill you." Catra says turning to her.
Perfuma's eyes go wide to see one of Catra's eyes black with purple veins protruding from her left eye.
"She can't resist the corruption in her current state! Knock her out!" Alpha shouts entering the room through a tube coming from the wall.
"You really think you can!?" Catra growls
Perfuma's eyes glow green before manifesting veins that grapple Catra.
"I'm sorry please just sleep." Perfuma says
"Hahaha I should just finish what I started during my horde days." Catra says turning to shadows.
Catra appears behind Perfuma, she raises her right hand to strike but when a flash of light hits her. She screams in pain falling to her knees clutching her right hand.
"Its okay just sleep." Angella says walking from behind Catra.
Angella gathers light particles in her hand and quickly places against Catra's face. Catra screams before fainting from the pain.
"That could have gone better." Alpha says
"What happened?" Perfuma says
"I don't know, I just did what Alpha told me." Angella says
"It was luck really, I just thought light magic could potentially cleanse dark magic. Its actually thanks to Catra's research on magic.
Thank you Angella for answering my call." Alpha says"I heard she was used dark magic but I didn't know to this extent." Angella says examining her corrupted right arm.
"She...did what she needed to do to protect Etheria." Alpha says bitterly
"She shouldn't have practiced this magic in the first place!" Angella retorts.
"Kal? Lionett? Are you okay?" Perfuma says concerned.
"Ya...i...no...sorry I couldn't bare it." Lionett says gritting her teeth.
"Don't be to hard on yourself. She amplified her killing intent and fused it together with her predatory presence. Lionett especially considering how similar your race is." Alpha says
"I'm fine. Just angry that I couldnt even help her." Lionett says detrasnforming into her base form. She gently picks up Catra.
"I'll take her home." Lionett says
"Please do." Alpha says
"Are you sure we shouldn't have Entrapta check her out?" Perfuma says
"Its more of a magical and mental problem than a physical one. Besides I'd rather not have Entrapta dissect her." Alpha says
"Well if you need me please call any time." Angella says leaving.
"Her and Odessa have been experimenting on corpses lately haven't they?" Perfuma says
"Unfortunately yes, it seems Odessa's morals have disappeared but considering her parents its expected." Alpha says

Lionett stares at the unconscious Catra then falls to her knees.
"I'm sorry for being weak." Lionett says
"Your not weak...take it from the weakest person on Etheria." Catra whispers
"Catra! Are you okay?" Lionett asks.
"I'm fine...the shock caused me to lose control. I'll need to send some time in my mind Palace to repair myself. Alpha please send word to Entrapta to send out all Skirmishers. Objective being to find my daughter no matter the cost." Catra says
"Understood." Alpha says telepathically
"I'll leave to rest." Lionett says getting up.
"Please...stay....just for a little while." Catra says weakly grabbing Lionett by one of her fingers.
"Okay...just for a little while." Lionett says as she sits against Catra's bed.
