She-Ra: Redemption

Deep Below- Part Four

"Dammit! There's no end to them!"

Mermista shouts as she is surrounded by dozens of Galleons.

"Even with this endless power I feel it's like there's no end too them!"

Mermista says as she uses her ability to blast three ships into the air. As all the ships fire their barrage of cannons Mermista concentrates and seconds before the cannon balls hit she surrounds herself with thick lays of water. She changes the rotation on the water causing the cannon balls to change trajectory and hit a number of ships behind her. Its then she hears a familiar guttural voice call out to her.

"Power....use my...power...with it you can save your love!"

As it says this Seahawk is pulled to the surface of the water tied to pole behind rows and rows of enemy ships.

Mermista shouts in frustration as she sinks another three ships. She shakes her head to rid his voice from her mind. She concentrates and with all her might she raises a gigantic wave that swallows all the ships in her path. The water protecting her falls as she starts to exhaust. Her breath ragged she starts to move forward but freezes in place. She stares in despair as hundreds more ships raise from the ocean taking the destroyed ships place.

"Ha...haha...DON'T MESS WITH ME!"

Mermista screams out as dozens of columns of water burst out destroying ship after ship. But it's not enough she feels herself again feeling drained. A stray thought crosses her mind.

"I can't save him..."

Then another.

"I'm running out of magic..."

She stares at Seahawk in agony as she almost within her reach. Suddenly a cannon ball makes it way to her. She puts up a water shield but is too late as she is blasted back. She manages to catch herself but starts to cry as she realizes that cannon shot blasted her back to where she started.

"I have to save him." She whispers

"Even if it means using my power."
The creatures voice says creeping into Mermista mind.

"Yes." She chokes as the ships inch ever closer.

"Even if it means freeing me!"

"Even if it means freeing you!" She shouts. As she does barnacles begin to sprout around her trident and tentacle could around it with a yellow eye on its head.

"Even if it meant you'd be drowning this world!"

"EVEN IF IT MEANS DROWING THIS WORLD  JUST SAVE HIM." she screams tears tumbling down her face

"Good...now FREE MEEEEEEEEEEEEE" its voice screams as shaking the area around them.

The ships disappear leaving only Mermista and the Pearl with Seahawk inside. Mermista stands on glass like surface with inches of water touching her feet. Creeping from behind her comes a smaller version of the creature. Just stopping by her shoulder whispering into her ear.

"Place your hand on the crystal and let it take your magic."

Mermista's shaking hand reaches out for it. Just as her hand is about to touch it she's stop by Catra. Mermista face pales as she stares at Catra.

"I...have...too...I know I don't ever say it but I really can't live without him." Mermista says  her voice shaken.

If one were to see her now one would think she's a child who got caught stealing. Her face full of shame and terror for what she was about to do.

"What's with that face, its okay... I would have have done the same."

Catra says softly, her voice full of warmth and acceptance. She embraces Mermista like one would a child.

"Its okay to accept his power, but don't let him consume you. Instead consume him...use all those feelings of anger, regret, and sorrow and direct It towards him. He may be connected to the runestone by a fragment but your on complete control of it. Teach him what it means to mess with those you care for." Catra says her appearance fading back into her ghost like visage.

Mermista closes her eyes and concentrates.

"Forgive me..I almost lost everything but don't worry. This ends here. Please work with me help Pearl help me destroy him!" Mermista shouts as she hears a voice call to her

"My name is Poseidon, allow me to help you but instead of destroying him I have a better idea." He says

The runestone in front of her changes into a
Humanoid man in shape. But is clear like the ocean with its only Distinguishing features being a Trident being held by it, a mesh of sea weed and barnacles across its body, and lastly a half sunken crown made of stone.

He slams his trident down and runes appear on the creature. The creature screams and grows to its original size. It coils its body and raises its head. Writhing in pain as the runes restrict it.

"I'LL NEVER BE CONTAINED AGAIN! I'LL KILL YOU BEFORE THAT HAPPENS CONSEQUENCES BE DAMNED" it roars as it opens its massive jaws and brings then down towards them both.

Just as he is about to consume them both.

"Oh I get, your just like how i was when I was a child." Mermista says her voice soft and full of understanding.

She places her hand out and he is stopped in his tracks by the water tentacles gripping his body.

"You!"

"Hey...release that idiot of a boyfriend and I won't seal you away." Mermista says her voice calm

Just as the creature is about to respond he freezes as he notices the humanoid made of water and Mermista start to fuse and become one.

"You've become the Ruler of the Sea..." it utters

Mermista eyes glow blue as her trident changes gold in color with a empty circle at its head. 

"Kneel to us and we shall grant you freedom but as our servant." They say their voice echoing

"You mean as a slave!" It growls

"No. As a extension of us and maybe one day a friend. Kneel and you will see the vast galaxy and see many other words. Even if you are binded to me you will still be free. This I swear." They say

"....My name is Jörmungandr. I swear to you my true name. But know when you take your final breath I shall free and will consume everything."  Jörmungandr says

"That is fine for we have no end." They says before the world shatters and they brought to nothing but darkness.
