After dinner, Loki took Emily and Mary into the living room. He decided to start small and conjured some ice daggers. "My weapons." He chuckled.
Emily smiled from her place on the couch. "You use ice as a weapon too? I like your metal daggers."
Loki nodded. "My daggers are always my first choice, but I can conjure ice weapons at will." He answered.
"That's so cool," Emily said.
Loki made the ice disperse and reformed it as a sword made of ice. "I can form it into anything I can imagine."
Emily looked on in awe. "No wonder you like to play with your ability."
"Indeed. It is interesting to be limited only by imagination." Loki agreed.
Emily looked over at Mary. "He's pretty talented."
"I can see that. You know, he would have done really good as a surgeon," Mary replied.
"He could have been, but I think he likes magic too much," Emily commented.
"He definitely likes magic too much. I just meant how good he is with his hands." Mary clarified.
A blush lit Emily's cheeks as her mind went straight into the gutter. She glanced at Loki, then looked back at her friend. "Yes... he is."
Loki's face lit up in a grin as Mary giggled. "That's not what I meant!" She teased.
Emily laughed. "But it's included!" She retorted.
"Ugh, alright, I walked into that one." Mary chuckled. Mary started to say some retort when her eyes went wide at the sight of one of Loki's holograms of Asgard. "How is that even possible? What is it?" Mary asked, in awe. She reached out to touch the image, gasping when her hand went right through it.
"His home. The realm of Asgard," Emily explained.
"Where is he projecting this from?" Mary asked curiously.
Emily smirked. "His memory, at least that's what I think."
"You are correct. This is just a small example of the way I can use my magic. I can create full illusions that would let you fully explore the finest details of my realm without ever leaving this room." Loki proudly boasted.
"That's incredible." Emily reached out and caressed the bottom of Loki's hand, causing the image to flicker.
"I will save up some energy and show you an illusion like that. They are so exact you can actually read the books in the library." Loki said with a smug grin.
Emily's smile faltered. "That sounds like it would take up a lot of magic and power from you. I don't want you to hurt yourself."
"I won't hurt myself; I promise. I won't do it until I'm ready." Loki assured Emily. "My energy grows by the day, and I should be back at full power in just a few weeks."
"You should be fully healed by then too," Emily replied.
"I think I'm more or less healed now, I just need to get the stiffness out of my leg." Loki answered.
"Stretching would help that. I know a few good ones, but it might make you sore." Emily glanced at Mary then pointed at her. "I'm not being dirty either," she added with a giggle.
Mary raised her hands in surrender but giggled as well. "I don't mind being sore if it helps me get better."
Emily turned back to Loki and smiled. "I'll show you some before bed then."
"Of course you'll show him how to exercise before bed." Mary teased, giggling.
"Mary, don't make me tickle you," Emily warned playfully.
