"Are sandwiches and chips, okay?" Emily asked as they all reached the door to the apartment. She fished her keys from her pocket and unlocked the door for everyone to go inside.

"That is fine darling." Loki answered. "Do you need any help?" He asked as he stepped inside the apartment.

"You can help if you'd like to," Emily answered. She walked in the kitchen and began getting things out of the fridge.

"You've worked your leg enough. Go sit down, I'll help." Mary told Loki as she walked into the apartment. "Can you make sure he behaves?" She asked Steve.

Steve chuckled but nodded. "Yeah, I'll watch over him. C'mon Loki, we can find something to do in the living room."

Loki nodded and followed Steve into the living room. He took his usual seat on the couch, muttering under his breath the entire time.

"Loki, why're you pouting?" Steve asked as he sat beside him. "Mary is right. You need the rest."

"I don't like being injured and I don't like the limitations it causes." Loki mumbled.

"Neither do I," Steve commented. "But it will get better. I'll help you get stronger again."

Loki gave Steve a confused look, then nodded. "Thank you. I appreciate the kindness."

"You're welcome," Steve said softly. "Is everything okay?"

"I'm just confused by you. You have been nice to me from the time I ended up here." Loki admitted.

Steve shrugged. "When I saw all of the evidence of what really happened, I decided to see who you really are."

"What do you think of who I am?" Loki asked curiously.

"You're a good man," Steve said honestly. "But you're misunderstood."

"I've been saying that my entire life." Loki chuckled.

"Well, you have me on your side," Steve said proudly.

"It truly means a lot to me." Loki said sincerely.

Steve smiled and nodded. "I'm glad."

"Would we be... friends now?" Loki asked hesitantly.

"Yes," Steve chuckled. "Yes we are."

Loki couldn't help but flash a goofy grin. "It's been a while since I've made a friend."

"Well, you have me now."

"I am proud to call you a friend." Loki said sincerely.

"Are you two bonding?" Mary asked happily. She carried plates for her and Steve.

"We are in fact," Steve answered.

Emily walked in after Mary, holding a plate for Loki and herself. "I'm glad you two are getting along."

"You know, they would likely make a good team, if they needed to." Mary told Emily.

"I agree. Seeing them working together would be quite amazing." Emily sat on the other side of Loki and handed him his plate.

Loki took his plate and immediately picked up a chip and ate it. "I think we could make a good team as well." He admitted.

"When you're well, you should try a test run working together," Emily suggested.

"What kind of test run?" Loki asked curiously.

"Just try things out in the arena," Emily clarified. "Only when you're strong enough."

Loki nodded. "Steve said he will help me train based on what is safe for my recovery."

Steve nodded. "I'll start putting things together when we come back from the trip."
