The next morning Emily stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel to dry off with as she turned and looked out of the floor to ceiling window at the ocean. This place is beautiful. She thought back to the night before and smiled as her body tingled at the memory.

Loki was awoken by a knock on the front door. Muttering to himself, he climbed out of bed and walked out to answer the door. Just before opening it, he shimmered a pair of shorts on.

"Are you guys ready for breakfast?" Mary happily asked.

"Almost. Emily is in the shower." Loki sleepily mumbled, letting her come inside.

"Are you alright?" Mary asked. "You sound awfully tired."

"I'm fine. I just woke up." Loki answered.

Mary smiled and nodded. "I think Banner is making waffles and eggs this morning, I know they're your favorite."

"Will there be sausage and bacon?" Loki asked, now more attentive. .

"I think so," Mary chuckled and sat on the edge of the bed just as Emiky emerged from the bathroom fully dressed.

"Oh, morning Mary. I didn't know you were in here," Emily commented.

"I've only just arrived and was greeted by Mr. Grumpy." Mary chuckled.

Emily furrowed her brow and looked over at Loki. "Grumpy?"

"I had just woken up. It was actually her knocking that woke me." Loki shrugged.

"Awe. I'm sorry Loki," Emily soothed. "We had a late night last night," she added.

"It's alright love. I needed to get up. I better go freshen up real quick." Loki replied. He gave Emily a quick kiss, then walked into the bathroom.

Emily grabbed her brush from her suitcase and began brushing out her hair. "Is everyone else out and about? Where's Steve?"

"Steve is helping Bruce. I didn't see Nat on my way over, but everyone else is up." Mary told Emily.

Emily smirked. "There might be a reason for that. I think Bruce and Nat have become closer than people realize."

Mary gasped in shock. "No way! Do you think they spent the night together?"

"I think it's a good possibility that they did," Emily told her. "Have you not noticed how they always have to sit beside each other lately?"

Mary blushed softly. "No, I really haven't." I tend to be a little distracted by who's next to me.

"Why're you blushing?" Emily asked, a smile on her face. "Thinking of someone?" she teased.

"Can you blame me?" Mary chuckled.

Emily smirked as she put down her brush and retrieved a hair tie. "No, I don't blame you. How are you two doing by the way?"

"We are doing great. It almost feels like it's too good at times." Mary shrugged.

"Why do you say that?" Emily asked as she decidedly braided her ponytail.

"I don't know. It just feels weird that we haven't so much as disagreed on what to have for dinner... is that normal?" Mary asked Emily.

Emily sat on the edge of her bed with a small shrug. "It's not unheard of to not argue. I feel like the only thing you'll argue about is when Steve has missions."

"I'm not saying we should argue. It's just... I can't explain it. But I'm glad it's going so well." Mary told Emily. "You know I've never been in a relationship before, so all I really know is what I've seen on TV."
