"Miss Porter, Miss Potts is waiting outside the door," Jarvis droned.
Emily grumbled and rolled over on the couch, to find that it was empty. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Jarvis, when did Tony leave?"
"He left at seven this morning Miss Porter. He left a note for you in the kitchen and breakfast is in the microwave."
She stood and wrapped the blanket around her body. "Why is Miss Potts here?"
"She has brought clothes for you."
Emily nodded. "Thank you Jarvis." She quickly retrieved the clothes from Pepper, then changed before she walked into the kitchen.
After a few minutes, Pepper followed her in the kitchen. "You are needed in the medical wing immediately." She called through the door, then walked away.
"Shit! Loki..." Emily quickly grabbed the note from Tony, the burrito he left her, then bolted out of the penthouse and to the elevator.
"Ms. Porter, the captive has removed his IV lines." Jarvis told Emily through the elevator speaker.
"Ugh... thank you Jarvis." Emily waited for the elevator door to open, then rushed into Loki's room. "Damn it Loki! You're bleeding." She quickly grabbed a towel from a shelf and rushed to his side and pressed it on his arm.
Loki started to settle down when Emily came in. He was sitting on the bed since he had tried to get up. "They wouldn't leave me alone and they messed up my side when they ripped the bandage off." He told her, clearly in pain.
"Who? Nobody's supposed to mess with you," Emily asked, now upset. She grabbed some cotton, then gauze and proceeded to remove the towel and wrapped his arm. "You don't need the IV right now. I can get you oral pain relievers. Let me see your side."
"I don't know who. I was sleeping when they first came in and so disoriented from the pain after that. I remember there were three of them at one point, but they gave me something that nearly knocked me out. When I got my head clear, I pulled that thing out so they couldn't try again." He said, referring to the IV line.
Emily gently rolled Loki onto his side to see a blotch of red on his bandage. "This is going to need changed," she said softly. "Jarvis, notify Tony that people came into Loki's room last night and to get the security footage."
"Yes Miss Porter."
"The nurse out there, I remember seeing her. She knows what happened." Loki told Emily. "I don't want it changed. It hurts and I want it left alone." He insisted.
"I know it hurts Loki. I will give you some medicine and then check on the wound and change the bandage so it's clean. You don't need it infected." Emily rubbed his arm as she looked out the window of Loki's door just as a nurse peeked their head in. "Do you know what happened to him? He also needs a strong oral pain reliever."
The nurse nodded, still looking shaken. "I do, but... I would be more comfortable explaining out here. I won't step into this room again." She said truthfully.
Emily looked down at Loki. "I'll be just outside the door. You'll be able to see me," she said before she stepped out of his room and crossed her arms. "What happened?" she said sternly.
The nurse pulled the door closed. "He was having a nightmare and was thrashing around. The tape from his bandage got caught on the blanket and that was how it ripped off. When that happened, we did go in to check him. He lost it and thought it was us that ripped it off. He was throwing stuff at us, the doctor has a black eye now... they tried to sedate him but it didn't work long. It was just enough to bandage him and get out." She explained.
