Loki finished changing into a pair of sleep pants once they got back to their room withing the apartment, then went and sat on the edge of the bed. "I feel like we have a lot to talk about." He said softly to Emily.

Emily looked over her shoulder at Loki, having been looking out the window watching it snow. "I think we do too."

"Any particular place you want to start?" Loki asked, letting her decide. "Before you ask, yes, I was truly prepared to fight him."

"I know you were," Emily smiled as she turned to face him. "I know there's... an age gap between us, which doesn't bother me at all. In Earth years, we're actually very close to the same age. But it also means... I will die a lot sooner than you."

Loki nodded. "I suspected that would be the first matter." He sighed. "There are ways around the age gap. There is a way to extend your lifespan, or I can take a mortal life and have your lifespan." He explained.

Emily's eyes widened. "I can't ask you to give up everything for me, Loki."

"You don't have to. If that is what I need to do, I will gladly do it." Loki said truthfully.

"Loki, honey... I don't know what to say."

"You don't need to say anything. I love you and life without you would not be worth living. I would rather have a shorter life with you, than thousands of years without you." Loki said softly.

Tears came to Emily's eyes, making her move to quickly wipe them away. "If... if I were able to have a longer life, how would that work?"

Loki wrapped his arms around Emily and held her close. "We have special golden apples that will extend your lifespan if you eat them daily."

"Daily? For how long?" She asked curiously.

"Forever, or for as long as you want the extended lifespan. It is literally just one apple per day though." Loki answered.

Emily shrugged. "That doesn't sound so bad."

"It isn't. It's just making sure to never forget a day." Loki added.

"What happens if you do?" Emily questioned.

"It can mess up the aging. In that day, your mortal age can attempt to catch up." Loki answered.

"That sounds kind of scary," Emily admitted.

"It's not so hard. The apples are usually served as part of breakfast, unless you request otherwise." Loki assured Emily.

Emily nodded. "How will we choose what to do?"

"I honestly don't know. Mother might have some advice for us though." Loki shrugged.

Emily climbed into Loki's lap and hid her face in his neck. "Tony made me so mad," she whispered.

"He is clearly just jealous." Loki said softly as he wrapped his arms tightly around Emily.

"I can't believe he acts like he owns me... has a right to me," she whispered as she climbed tightly to Loki's dress shirt.

"He doesn't own you. He just finally sees how absolutely amazing you are, and he knows how badly he screwed up." Loki said softly.

Emily looked up at Loki and kissed just under his jaw. "It's his loss... I'm all yours."

"It is his loss; he's just not used to losing." Loki said, then leaned down to kiss Emily properly.

"Mmm," Emily sighed into Loki's kiss and weaved one hand into his raven hair.

"Is there anything else you want to talk about?" Loki asked curiously when the kiss ended.
