Steve woke to the sound of an alarm going off, making him roll over in bed with a groan. He knew Mary's appointment was today, so he sighed before sitting up and turning the annoying beeping sound off.

Mary tried to snuggle closer to Steve, wanting to stay in bed. "We can reschedule." She mumbled, half asleep.

"Mar, honey, you need to go to the appointment." He looked down at her, gently brushing hair from her face. "I want to go with you... if that's okay."

"Of course, it's alright." Mary said through a yawn. When she heard her phone sound, she rolled onto her back to reach it, then read the text. "Loki wants to know if Emily is going. He said she's fine either way."

Steve stood, not caring about his nudity as he walked over to the dresser at the foot of the bed. "Do you want her to go?"

"I had her go last time, so I wouldn't be alone." Mary said truthfully. "It was hard without you here." She said, sitting up to watch him.

He turned to face her as he pulled on a pair of boxers. "I'm sorry I wasn't. But I'm excited to be able to go with you now."

"It's alright and it can just be the two of us if you want." Mary said truthfully.

Steve smiled at her after he got a pair of pants. "I would like that."

Mary nodded with a slight smile of her own then turned her attention back to her phone, just in time to see a message from Loki saying he had already heard their decision. She climbed out of bed and walked over by Steve so she could get clothes for herself.

"How're you feeling?" Steve asked softly, wrapping one arm around her waist so he could kiss the side of her head.

"I feel like I might be sick at any moment." Mary sighed. She pulled on underwear and jeans, then started looking for a shirt.

Steve frowned as he let Mary do what she needed to do to get ready for the day. "It will pass darling. Do you want a candy?" he asked softly. He was beginning to make sure he always had some of them on him.

Mary pulled the shirt on, then nodded. "Yes please. I need to remember to get something stronger today."

After pulling on his khakis, Steve walked over to the nightstand and returned to Mary holding out an unwrapped candy to her. Once she took it, Steve put the rest of the handful in his pocket. "That would be a good idea. It wouldn't be a good thing if you cannot keep food down."

"I know and I can barely keep anything down as it is." Mary sighed. She quickly brushed her hair, then pulled it back into a hair tie. "I think I'm ready. My boots are by the front door."

Steve finished getting dressed before opening their bedroom door. Bucky was asleep on the floor in a far corner of the living room, which made him sigh. "Let's go sweetheart, we don't want to be late," Steve said softly.

"He will adjust. I wonder if the couch just feels too open for him." Mary suggested as they walked out.

"I don't know. When I was out of the ice, a normal bed wasn't comfortable. I slept on the floor for a decent while." Steve pushed the button to bring the elevator to them.

"We will just have to make sure he's comfortable wherever he wants to sleep." Mary said, stepping as they stepped in once it arrived and pressed the button for the med floor.

Steve nodded. "Maybe get some extra blankets or something. Who's in charge of your appointment?" he asked, realizing they were staying in the tower.

"I think Bruce is doing it. I'm pretty much doing my own care, but it's hard to ultrasound yourself." Mary shrugged.
