Emily quickly parked the car and climbed out, before she rushed inside, to the waiting elevator. Meanwhile Mary ran to keep up with Laney and made it to the elevator just before the doors closed. "Easy Em, he's scared, not dying." She said, trying to catch her breath.
"I'm sorry," she replied with a huff as she watched the numbers climb. "I'm really hoping he isn't going to be upset with me."
"Getting him taken care of is the most important thing right now. I need to see what they've been giving him, before we reverse it." Mary told her.
Emily nodded. "Did you hear that Jarvis? We need all of his charts from today as soon as you can get it to us."
"I can access some footage to show what he was given, but his record is not being digitally uploaded." Jarvis replied. "Would you like the information I have displayed in his room or sent to your phones?"
The elevator dinged and Emily and Mary stepped out into the hallway. "Both please. What is the door number for his condo?"
"He is in 5654." Jarvis replied as both of their phones sounded with the incoming information. "Will you need help called to move him into a normal bed?"
"No," Emily answered as she walked quickly down the hall until she reached his door and found it to already be unlocked. "Mary, what does his info say?" She asked as she stepped aside for her to come in too, then closed the door behind them. Where is his damn brother?
"The sedative he's been given... it can overdose him depending on how his body handles it... and the security footage... none of this good Em..." Mary said, horrified. "I'm going down the med area to get a few things, don't give him anything, but see if you can get him to come around on his own." She said, then headed right back out.
Emily felt tears roll down her cheeks when she walked into the bedroom and found Loki in a hospital bed beside his actual bed. The blankets were torn and Loki had scratches and new bruises on his arms. She sniffled as she walked up to him and gently ran her hand through his hair. "Loki? Can you hear me?"
After a minute, Loki slowly opened his eyes and looked at her, but his movements were very sluggish from the sedatives. "Wa-wasn't... my... fault," he slurred.
She shook her head at him and caressed his cheek. "No sweetheart, it wasn't. I'm so sorry."
"I... mean... it," He mumbled, meaning it truthfully.
"I know Loki. It's alright. I'm here," she whispered.
"Just... going... leave again." He managed to say, then looked away from her.
Emily shook her head as her tears fell onto his blanket. "No, I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here. Right now, Tony can kiss my ass."
"He... would like... that." Loki said, but sounded like he was trying to joke as he started to drift off again.
She sat on the side of his bed and continued to run her hand through his hair. "I hate they did this to you," she whispered. "This will never happen again."
Loki tried to respond, but couldn't find the strength. "Keep him awake!" Mary told Emily as she hurried in with an arm full of supplies. "Does he have an IV line?" She asked, only watching enough of the footage to know he had lost the first one.
Emily tightened the grip she had in his hair, making him open his eyes. "He should have a port, or did it rip out?"
"It's gone. Keep him calm, I'm going to run a new one and he isn't going to like it." Mary said. She dumped the supplies right onto the bed and started getting the IV ready.
