Loki woke very early the following morning. He tried to just lay there for a while, but he soon had to move Emily as gently as he could, so he could go to the bathroom since nature was calling his name.

After feeling around for a few moments, Emily opened her eyes to see she was alone in bed. She looked around, panicked, until she realized the bathroom door was closed. A look at the alarm clock made her eyes widen. "Nine in the morning? I didn't think we'd sleep all night... I wonder what Mary is up to."

Loki walked out after a few minutes, his hair still wet from a shower with only a towel around his waist. "Good morning darling." He said with a smile, seeing that Emily was awake.

At the sound of his voice Emily turned and smiled. "If I get a view like this every day, it will always be a good morning," she said playfully.

"I do prefer morning showers, so it is very likely... evening showers are for playing." He teased.

She raised an eyebrow at him then sat up and slid to the edge of the bed. "That sounds fun... do I get morning kisses too?"

"Of course you do. I also find kisses to be a good way to wake someone." He told her. He walked over to her, lifted her chin, then leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her lips.

Emily gently returned his kiss, daring to graze his bottom lip with her teeth. "That's a thing we have in common," she said softly.

Loki sighed softly at the feel of her teeth, then stood up straight after the kiss. "I hope I have the chance to wake you with kisses."

"I'm sure you will," she replied. "I'll use the restroom, then we can see what Mary is up to. I didn't think we would have slept all night."

"Alright darling. I didn't think I was that tired, but it's easy to relax and rest when you're comfortable." He said truthfully.

"That's true." Emily stood and stretched, causing her shirt to rise and show a bit of her midriff, then she walked into the restroom.

Tease. Loki thought, watching her walk away. He took the time to find underwear and sweats, then dressed himself while he waited for Emily.

Emily soon returned from the bathroom with fresh breath and brushed hair. "Decide to wear a long sleeve today?" She asked, noticing the shirt he'd picked out. "It looks good on you."

"I normally do have sleeves like this with my armor, so it has a comforting feel... if that makes sense." Loki explained.

"It does." She walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I still think it looks good on you."

"I only have two shirts like this, but I will wear them more often." Loki said, happily.

"I can always get you more if you want more," Emily told him, then leaned up and pecked his lips.

"I wouldn't mind one that's darker green." Loki said truthfully.

She smiled at him and nodded. "I will get you some. Should we go check on Mary?"

"You make it very hard to want to leave this room." Loki chuckled, then gave a resigned sigh before he stole a quick kiss. Then he walked over and opened the bedroom door for her.

Emily blushed and followed him before she walked through the doorway to see the living room was empty of all people, the only light on being the Christmas tree. "I guess she's still asleep, unless she had to work."

"The kitchen light is on, maybe she's in there?" Loki suggested, feeling like something was off in the apartment.

"If she went to work, hopefully she left a note." Emily cautiously walked into the kitchen to see it was also empty. "The coffee pot is hot," Emily called as she touched the side of it tentatively, "it's still warm."
